To my knowledge, there are only two Indian restaurants in Lancaster, PA.
I visited Tulsi about a month ago. To my surprise, the restaurant was located inside a Travelodge Motel, which would be convenient for inkedbod if he were on a date. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was during their lunch buffet, so the prices were reasonable. The Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent.
Vegetarians would also like the buffet At Tulsi because they had quite a few veggie offerings as well as chicken dishes. They also had a salad tray and a variety of fruits. The bread, called naan, was brought to the table hot.
Friday, I visited the Taj Mahal and I was not as impressed with the food or the service. The restaurant was attractive inside but the buffet selections were somewhat limited. The creamed spinich left a lot to be desired. The wait staff was not as attentive as the staff at Tulsi. If you don not need Iced Tea with the meal, take a pass and stick to the water. The tea is $2.00 and they seem to be reluctant to refill it for you. I probably would not visit the Taj Mahal again.
