I am planning on being in NYC in early December and only have one day to see the sights. Yes, I know it cannot possibly be enough. Considering this trip something of a recon mission for a future visit.
Will be in the area for the Army Navy football game.
Considering using the subway system and making my own way around seeing the major sights such as Fifth Avenue, Statue of Liberty boat ride, World Trade Center site, the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center and who knows what else.
A bus tour is also a possibility...8.5 hours and about $90.
Has anyone done either?
Also, don't want to drive in the City. Will be coming in from Philadelphia and will want to hop on pubic transportation as early as possible. Any suggestions on what metro stop would be good?
Thanks for any help.
