Quote from inara83:
The worse case of fibromyalgia my doctor has ever seen and depression.

ANY case of fibromyalgia is worse! One thing about your doctor is that he recognizes fibro. I was diagnosed with this 15 years ago...seen many doctors because they said it was all in my head! I would not wish fibromyalgia on my worst enemy!

I have: Fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, 3 herniated disc, depression, partial knee implant right leg, left knee waiting for full knee replacement, had torn rotator cuff repair of right shoulder. bone spurs ground out of left shoulder....I won't even put down the surgeries!! I have pain EVERY day. What I would not give to have 1 day with no pain.

Yet, I look around and see so many people worse off than me and I thank God I have what I have! Just remember....it could be worse, be grateful!

Even when I talk to people about it, they say theirs is no where near as bad as mine. But yes, it's horrible and I wouldn't wish it on an enemy either!

I have Cerebral Palsy that just affects my walking so I use a crutch. I used to use two and I still do depending on where I'm walking but for the past year and a half I've been determined to only use one at least 85% of the time.

I'm also a drummer and have been for 20 years.

Seems like we are in somewhat of the same boat. I have highblood pressure and lupus which is affecting my kidneys and I know some weight loss would help, but its just so darn hard to loose the weight. One or two days I can diet and exercise real good but then there goes the rest of the week... Good Luck to you!

I have already had both hips replaced and cervical fusion. Need to have knee replaced soon. I still manage to keep up my smile and take care of myself and home. Getting tuffer each day though. I have a oversize heart and a non functioning brain. I suffer from foot in mouth disease. I also have tunnel vision, I lack a rearview mirror and cant see whats behind me. My glaucoma is something that has increased my sense of touch and my hearing loss has caused my sense of smell to go thru the roof. Neither of those is a bad thing. My biggest challenge is wearing clothes that match. People stare at me like Im a freak because of this. But I dont have any disabilities and I dont play golf so I cant say I have a handicap.

People with Disabilities have an amazing sense of humor!!

We poke fun at ourselves, but not at anyone else... If someone is going to make
fun of us, we may as well beat them to the punch, right?

IM NOT HERE TO OFFEND FOLKS nor am I here to rub things in faces. A disabled car sits along the highway. ARE YOU SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. why? TO ME THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DISABILITY. you breath you smile you sing. BUT YOU DONT SIT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. life is too short to what if and I cant and dammit if only... There is only enough room for I CAN. And I CAN AND WILL. understand it or not. But no shoulder of the road will you ever glance upon and see me sitting.

Humor is relative. Til youve walked a mile in anothers shoes unfair to judge them. Most of us here have some gift (I dont believe in disabilities) Thats makes us stronger because we can see the lighter side of life. We dont need to take everything so seriously all the time. When one becomes so serious they lose sight of the fun thats right in front of them.

This applies to me quite literally, and today I am really "feeling" it... your words
are true, and I KNOW it

Both my Truck and Car are broken down, "sitting" along side the road... and so am I
I could give reasons why I have not picked myself up, but they would just be a
sorry excuse#?!'s

Of course I have decisions to make, it is hard to find someone you can trust,
and it will cost a lot of money I cannot really afford... but today I realized
delaying is hurting me physically as well as my spirit

As my Aunt of 73 years said.... "p*ss of get off the pot!!" LOL
