Hi Vision4u, I know you probably hear this all the time----but you ARE pretty far north.----Is the snow gone yet? LOL. Glad you have joined us on Ontario chat.
And hi to you too, Silverfox. I agree, it's nice to find not only other Canadians here but people from Ontario. I love our neighbours to the south but if I am going to meet someone, it'll be another Canadian.
I hope you both check out the Get Together thread. We are trying to arrange a camping weekend, be sure to check it out.

Myneheart, there is so little going on in the Ontario chat that most people just check in once a day and then go on to another site. There is a large group in the 50+ site and they are very active all day long. Some of the people are from Canada, but most are Americans. Don't let ANYTHING that goes on in one of these sites upset you! Most people are nice but when you can't see them face to face you can never be sure that they are who they say they are or if they are really as nice as they apppear.

That is how I found it too. The amount of time that passes between posting makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. I think there are just too few of us that spend any time in this forum. Several fellows that I received messages from were not interested in chatting in the this forum-----too bad because I feel sure if there was more topics and participation we would have more members.
Glad to hear you're able to manage ok. How long did the dr. think it would take to have it back to normal? A few years ago I had a torn rotater cuff. It was almost a year before I was finished with therapy and almost full range-of-motion back. Now several years later, that arm is stronger than the other one, probably bc of the therapy.

Hi...shn..it is my rotator cuff, I didn't even know I had one ! I sure found out fast. I have 2 1/2 muscles torn off out of 4 . When I mess up....I mess up. My arm is already in good enough shape to have surgery. NOT I'll find out on Mon. 
Maybe if there was a different thread started, it might work. right now I only have one arm to type, it takes forever.

Hi Jwp. That was a good question. I had to look it up, and I'm glad I did. I have always proudly called myself a Canuck so it's a good thing to know exactly what that word means. 
Apparently it is derived from the Algonquian, Kanata (village+uc) or it could come from Connaught= an obscure term for Irish French Canadians. Originally it was an Americanism for French Canadians but now applies to any Canadian. And we use it proudly to describe ourselves, much as Americans use the term Yankee.
I tried to find a picture that would represent generally what is Canadian but I could only find beer and hockey, both things very Canadian but of course there is much more to the average Canuck than beer and hockey!
I hope those terrible storms aren't anywhere near you. In the past we have had tonadoes from summer storms but in my memory I do not know of any as severe as the storms in the states. Of course with the weather patterns changing so much what the future has in store for us is anyone's guess.

Storms.........well they were close to here........tornado warning sirens were in the air but everything is OK in this part of the world..............just hope that does not happen again...........Colorado is not known for large tornados, only overly large dust devils...........

Can I be a honorary member of your Canadian Group ? I know what a shinny is, have had numerous double doubles at Tim's, have eaten poutine at Harvey's numerous times, know what the Grey Cup is, know what a Canadian Tatoo is, have attended Canadian Thanksgiving in Perth, like shopping at Canadian Tire, know where and have been to the Rideau, know what Pablum is, can say "abowt" almost like a Canadian, and I am a Canadiens fan (give me a break eh, I defected from the Bruins about 15 years ago), have been to Don Cherry's place in Ottawa, like the Bear hats worn by the Governor General's Foot Guard, know that Naismith is a Canadian and I constantly wonder if any of you know my Cousin John from Sakatoon.
