Frederika, Germain's family lives east of Montreal, in a small village, St. Helen. Before he died, I visited his family there many times. He and one sister were the only ones in the family that could speak English, so we often made do with sign language and a lot of laughs. His mother is 90 and still living there.

You are right, Goldenmis. That is why having an Ontario site could be more advantagous for us. If only we could get more response. I think that will only happen if this site comes up with some subjects that are fun and interesting for Canadians to post to and to come back for more more interaction.
So if there are others that are just "lurking", come on join in, we are interested in getting to know you and want to hear your opinion.

Hello to everyone - I'm new here - great to find a place to visit where the people understand me .... you know - the person who LOVES winter, who loves snowmobiling, who loves to walk in the blizzard with her dogs - no really - I do!!!
But C'MON!! Haven't we had enough already??
But now I can hang out with others who have to deal with the same never-ending snow and can understand that I'm not complaining about winter - but C'MON!!!

new to the site and ontario...just movecd here in feb and now re-entering the dating world...lots of scary stuff at once...originally from newfoundland but just moved from nova scotia after 12 years in halifax. so far the site is treating me good...one not so great experience but that was quickly forgotten after meeting a great guy on here...have yet to meet him though, but maybe soon.

I am not sure, I think there might be one further along the village. I know that it is very shallow along the shore line. Last summer may boats anchored just off shore and an adult could walk almost right out to them.
