Lol just admit it we all play the game. No one here is not guilty we all play mind games or have. So consider it karma really. Don't hate the player hate the game. That's what I think. It's like getting cut off on the freeway. U get so pissed off at the person, lol but really who's day are u jacking up. That person could care less or even know they cut u off.

Not everybody plays games  we all know what we should and should not do. But really do we always do the right thing? I'm not saying its right and it makes sense, sometimes that's just the way it is with ppl. That is the way they are. How are u to change that play games back? Then what does that make u? I'm saying if u hate them lol ur wasting ur own energy in my opinion. Not that it's valid or anything

It goes both ways. The problem is, it takes 2 people to get into a situation where one of them can even get their heart broken, so if either person or both was using poor judgment when starting the relationship in the first place, a broken heart is inevitable. If both parties are very careful and use good judgment, chances are, noone will get hurt. It all comes down to what what Queen said. Basically, alot of people look at sex as a game or sport. And thats what usually causes the breakup in my opinion. That or always leaving the cap off the toothpaste. lol

Hi Greeneyes. Maybe you are choosing to out with women who are wrong for you. Maybe you ought to try changing the criteria you use for choosing a dating partner. On the other hand, perhaps you could try a different pool of prospective dating partners. I went on the "plentyoffish" internet dating service. There were some ladies that I went out with that I wouldn't feel comfortable dating again. Then again, there are some good ones there.
Also, you have to guard your heart. I mean, take me for example. There was this one lady that I had seen for about two weeks. She was physically beautiful but she was very demanding (..unreasonably so...) She wanted me to change all of my mannerisms. She was critical of every little thing that I did. She couldn't accept me as I am. On our last date, she wanted to come back to my house to "see where I live". I knew what she wanted. I was afraid to have her come over because I was afraid that she would seduce me and then I would fall in love with her and it would just be awful. I would be in love with someone who would be constantly criticizing me for stupid, inconsequential things. Knowing the consequences of such events, I avoided it by taking her home...to her home, not mine. I decided not to see her again. It was too risky. I had to guard my heart because she could have made my life miserable if I hadn't.
You have to guard your heart, greeneyes. Only give your heart to one lady and before you do, make sure that her heart is beautiful. Being in love with someone that doesn't really accept you for who you are...that can be heartbreaking. Is that what is happening to you? Do you give your heart to a lady that is not able to look at your character and personality and who is not able to find something there that she can admire, respect and love?

Now you understand why we were saying take your time RP? Even if you haven't been involved long enough to get your heart broken, it is disheartening to try and try and just keep meeting the ones that make you feel you have no value.

some people think a woman is a heartbreaker if she just realizes the relationship isn't working and wants to break up; or if she decides not to start a relationship in the first place. the same thing goes for guys, they do this too.

You are repeating the pattern you made for yourself. If you think you don't deserve a happy relationship you won't get one. I changed my attitude and got rid of the negativity and it has changed a lot of things. That person is not responsibile for your happiness, you are. Take your time. If you are not ready then you won't meet the right person.
You were being aware of things rp1. Good for you. You saved yourself some heartache. But be open to new experiences.
Sometimes you have to look before you leap. Give the relationship time to grow. Get to know each other. If you are not willing to give the relationship time, then it is doomed before it is started.
It also depends on the type of relationships you have seen and been in. It affects the way you handle relationships from beginning to end. Sit down and think about yourself. Look at your past relationships. See if there is a pattern. Do something about it. You are your own healer.
Let me get off my soapbox. Remember the old saying you reap what you sow.grin. Sow gloom and doom and you get gloom and doom. Thanks let me return you to regular channel. lol

Would that be the women who won't tolerate abuse, cheating, lying, stealing, substance dependence, etc? No... not all men (or women) do that. But I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific. If you're going to generalize about all women and have the same expectations of all people, you'll probably always be experiecing self-fulfilling prophechy. Try setting higher standards instead of lowering them or settling.

Cuz I could have sworn it was the guy I was married to for 13 years who bankrupted my azz, fell of the wagon, and reopened a joint credit account without my knowledge by having the statement sent to his mother's house after I caught him using it to join an online dating service. And you know what I did wrong? I forgave his sorry azz.

U r saying that "older " women r heartbreakers wait a min now. As I see it "older" women are much more appreciative of a young stud and more apt to try to please him just to keep him in the stable. Alicia, well , young studs maybe exaggerating a bit hee hee, guess Ill never get THAT lucky but something with a little spirit in um. It seems that guys my age are just a little less enthusiastic than I would like. The only games that I like to play is, u b the pony, I b the cowgirl hee hee Now where did I leave my spurs and lariate.
