Being a trombone/basstbn player, the greatest infeluence on the way I play (at least in the style dept.) wasn't a bone player, it was a percussionist named Ronnie Bedford. As far as tone quality and getting around the slide it would have to be Phil Theele or George Roberts. Now I wanna hear from you, who was it that shaped your aural perception of what people wanted to hear?

I woluldnt say I have a main influence, but the majority of why ive continues playing (trumpet) is because of Drum Corps International. Ive been doing it for 3 summers so far and still have 2 summers left. Its through this ive become engulfed in the musical life style and have had the oppertunity to be taught by some of the best brass players in the activity which just translates into my playing as a whole.
