lust...... I believe love takes awhile. I do believe there might be a spark and you may instantly know that you want to spend the rest of your life with them, but then after a few weeks your mind may start to change. If it was love you wouldnt change your mind, therfore it was lust.

i agree, I personally do not beleive in love at first sight, I beleive in falling in love. I beleive lust is the appropriate term when you first meet somone and you think they are the one. People don't always show their true colors, sometimes it takes a lil while for it all to come out.

I definitely believe in love at first sight. When I met my ex I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on her that she was something special. The feeling didn't wear off after a few short weeks. Years later I still love her deeply. So, yeah, it's rare but love at first sight does exist.

I'm not going to argue with you about how you feel or what you felt, those are your own emotions. Love is when you just want to be around somebody. Hold their hand. Go on walks with them. All that sappy horse shit. Lust is when you see somebody and think, "wow, I totally want to bone them." I know when I'm in love when sex is the last thing I think about.
Love occurs at a biochemical level and, yes, it can happen immediately. An intermingling of pheromones at an atomic level, perhaps.

Don't see it..... its lust, now give it a year or so, and love can form. Love is something you feel in you heart, and not visualized thu your eyes, and the physical contact you have with someone. I honestly think the bed had change the success rate of marriage. People have sex, get married, and then divorced. They loved the feeling, and not the person... 37 single, never married, and proud that I have never confused the 2 love& lust..

Wrong. Love is triggered on a biomolecular level via dopamine. Although it's rare, it can happen in an instant. Most people never get to experience true love because finding it is so damn hard. People tend to just settle for the first person to come their way. Love doesn't take a year, or years, to develop. In fact, it happens rather quickly.
Let's look at love as a drug for a moment, which in a weird way, it kind of is. Love increases your dopamine levels while decreasing your serotonin levels. This typically occurs within moments of meeting that special somebody and, unfortunately, only lasts approximately 18 to 36 months. After your levels return to normal the initial first "love" you experienced usually changes to more of an attachment love. Meaning, you've been with the person long enough to develop a strong bond with them. You're comfortable around them and you'll probably stick with them because you're so used to them. After the initial chemical reaction of love begins to wane people often get bored with their partner and wind up cheating or leaving them all together. Sad, but true. Some people do manage to stick with their partner for the long-haul which is amazingly cool. A long-lasting relationship isn't easy and takes a lot of work.
Anyway, yeah, there you have it. Just because you've never experienced love at first sight doesn't mean it's not a real occurance.
