More info would be telling the general outline of the story an that's not happening on an open forum.
I asked for writing advice in general.

Take creative writing classes. Nobody here can give you writing lessons. Your question id to broad for anyone to answer.

Like I said. All I was looking for is advice in general. I can't afford to take creative writing classes as we are working from a limited budget

I love how the reading and literature group can give no advice but I get several goo responses from people in general discussion.

So youre just looking for advice on how to write a book? Try making an outline first. Create character bios so youll know how they react in certain situations. Then just write and fill in each part of the outline with the story.

Become the characters in the game. See through their eyes. Then what would you do? What would happen?

Screw the grammar. Just write it the have someone who knows what they're doing edit for you. Im not a great writer and my friend got hid BA in creative writing so i make uis a** do my editing.
I realize the irony that accompanies me editing this post myself lol

I read where one author (Jannet Evanovitch I think) said she took acting
lessons in order to teach her how to write dialogue.
As for a previous comment you made, just because we like reading books,
doesn't mean we know how to write them.
Any more than a movie buff can make a movie.
Or a music fan can play an instrument.
Or an art afficianado can paint.
Get my drift?

There are actually a lot of people who read and are amateur authors. But no worries finally got ahold of one of the best teachers I ever had. She Is an English and creative writing teacher.

Thanks. She is going to kill me when she reads it though. She was one of the teachers who b*tched at me for not doing my best.

First make an outline, character bio go into detial the more you know about the character the easier ideas willl come to you, this is probably before character bio but make a full character list and even when writing the stroy remmeber to add even the littlest of characters, make a story line wht do you want to happen in each chapter why is chapter four called soandso, are there littles things hidden without your story make a folder just for your story with so many diffearnt doc tht your head will spin... I find the beginning of my story is always the hardest in the novel I'm writing when I first started writing the novel my last chapter was my first but I have recently changed it and it really feels good, I still haven't gotten to the second paragraph on the first page but I knw where the story is headed...write write write, the one thing you can not do is revise a blank page....hope this helped

I have lots of ideas for a general story line of a video game if that's what your looking for. IE: A fur trapper who goes into the pre-Lewis and Clark west to make his fortune or a pack predator wanting to move up in the ranks of the pack/pride. Books are a bit different in that they require a definite story line with characters one can relate too instead of a story people can necessarily follow. Helps to be famous to write and have a book published, tough industry to break into. Don't know if that helps but good luck in any regard.
