Does anyone know anyone in Amway and what its about? I met a woman at work who said she liked how well rounded I am and thought I would be successful as a Independent business owner. (IBO) It this a scam? I am not convinced. It seems exclusive. when you go to the meeting, they ask who invite you. its a 200 dollor start up fee. this girl was very adamant about introducing me to A select few. she wants to get together soon as possible to talk about future goals and plans. thanks everyone.

Yep, it pretty much works like a pyramid scheme. the theory is you work your way to the top of a pyramid, and you have a lot of people selling under you, and you get like a little commission from each one. or that is the way i understood it. was nnot for me.

Anyone who asks for a fee upfront is a scam

I hardly think that the BBB aligned with the likes of Best Buy, Dell, IBM, Microsoft, Bass Pro Shop, Sears, Verizon, DISH Network, FrontPoint Security Systems, and many more credibal companies along with their teams and schools of lawyers would get mixed up in a pyramid scheme; yet they all are partnered with AMWAY.
Also; the Detroit Red Wings, who are officially sponsored by Amway; the Orlando Magic who are owned by Amway and play in the Amway Center; the Kentucky Derby which is sponsored by Amway, The Miss America Pageant which is run by Amway's cosmetic company called Artistry...
Also people like Kurt Warner and Asofa Powell and Sandra Bullock... along with the admiration of Mark Zuckerberg...
I think you have a skewed view of how AMWAY works... AMWAY is made up of companies like Nutrilite, the #1 vitamin and supplement brand and the 1st one that was ever created; Artistry which has been in the top 5 Prestige Brands since its inception; XS which has rivaled Red Bull for the top energy drink in the world for the past 2 years; Legacy of Clean which is the #1 cleaning supply company along with the 1st invented cleaning product (originally called Frisk) along with all companies listed above have their products listed on an online Mall. Independent Business Owners come on as partners to help advertise their product lines; and THIS IS HOW PEOPLE ARE PAID... In order to get paid; you must have a service to offer the consumer and you must be able to retail it...
After you have learned how to retail products and services; then you can teach your knowledge to others who can do the same thing; BUT unlike a traditional business where you must be on top to make the most; there is no limit to how much you can make... the more products you sell; the more you make; IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!
As for the Avon comment; Avon is a good company with good product; but you will always get what you pay for... Comparing a Tupperware from Avon to a Tupperware from AMWAY is like comparing a Gremlin to a Ferrari... there is no difference...
I have been a part of AMWAY for 3 months now and have no one under me yet; and am still making descent money; am having a lot of fun learning from people with dreams and goals and visions that bring new heights and unlimited access to the future!
I would love to answer anyone's questions if they have any. If anyone is interested in learning more about the Amway Business and the great opportunity that it presents; please contact me.
Just remember this though: a pyramid scheme is defined as a program where no product or service is required; just money. One person collects money while telling the person who gave him money to collect from others and they get a percentage of that profit... this is illegal...
AMWAY offers products and services and just requires that you have a business license to advertize and sell the products. It is this contract that ANY business owner needs to have a business with... AVON isn't in business with Best Buy, Microsoft, etc.; so of course their license is less... Anyone who is inquiring does need to know that it is well worth owning your own AMWAY business during Tax season as well; because it is considered a small business; and business owners get more back.

Here's your Pyramid Scheme !!!
CEO
President
Vice President
Middle Management
Hard working Employees
NO THANKS !
The thing about THIS scheme is you chances of ever moving up are even LESS !
Amway's time has past . Yes they sign people up every day , and most fail . But they don't care because they look at you as a number , and the more numbers they run thru the sooner they will find a super star .
This person that's telling you , you could do real well ; do they even know you ? Or have they just recently met you ?
There is 1000's of these network marketing gigs out there . And I have spent alot of money and time trying them out ! Here's my personal website that I made that tells you some of what I know . http;//bit.ly/hummoney There's nothing there but some reading . Then you can leave you're info if you like .
NOW ! I have found that works ! You don't have to sponsor, recruit, sign up anyone , or any of that bull ! They come to you . NO BUGGING YOUR FRIENDS AT ALL
You don't have to buy mountains of product , EVER !
It's NOT cash gifting either !
There's no meeting to host , or convinces to go to ! No books tapes ,Cds to buy to keep you motovated . In fact , 99.9% of of the people who have ever signed up with us are still doing it !
And here's the best part > You can spend as little as 5 mins a day doing it ! You make money from day 1 & every day ! And the company even puts a min. $100 into your accvount the day you start !
OH !!!!!!!!!! I forgot to tell you it's FREE to get in !!!
You do need daily access to the internet
So anyone that wants in get a hold of me at [email protected] . I perfer that you leave your phone number and a time to call . Or you can write me here I guess .
Mike

Beware of Companies who cant tell you Who they really are , Like Herbalife . People in that are going to us saying it's way too much money , too much work , their products are over priced , and didn't work as well as they said it would . $299 to get started .
Just as Amway , they've had to call themself everything but their name to keep going .
I'm be honest with you when I say I've seen it all !
PS. I never said we dont have a product . I just said you weren't forced into buying it .

Amway forces no one to buy their products, and should they buy them and not like them, the product(s) they can be returned within 180 days for a no questions asked refund. There isn't even a charge for return shipping. It seems some folks just don't know what they're talking about.

Multi level marketing is not a scheme it's the American dream in my opinion. It's funny how this is the land of opportunity but the American people chose to work for someone which is the 97%. Think about it look at all the people that come from china or Israel or India what do they do when they come here? They open up a business within the first 2 weeks of being here lol crazy stuff. May 14 2011 I was introduced to Seacret and Loreal is our producer I don't think anyone can do more research than Loreal on weather it's a scam or not. If you want to see what it's all about go to finallyachange.com and let me know if you have questions

WOW here we go again with the pyramid scheme. If you're working for someone it's a pyramid. Who s at the top CEO. Even the military. You just need to do your research. Don't take advice from someone that isn't living out there dreams because it's always going to be negative. People are so quick to down a company because they say they didn't make any money. Maybe you weren't doing what you were suppose to do. Maybe your mindset wasn't where it should be. Or they had no conference in themselves to begin wth. Yes it takes money to make money come on any business savy person knows that. Do your research.
