I think after these last couple of dating disasters I will be taking a break from online dating. This story will be long bc it takes place over five days, so if you dont want to read it all I understand.
I started talking to a girl last monday. I met her from a different free website, and things were going good, so I asked if we could meet thursday night at an open air mall called ashley park. We were supposed to meet at 7:30 pm at barnes and noble inside the park, and like clockwork on the day of the date I dont hear nothing all day, but bc some posters on here said I should be more patient and send more than one confirmation text, I did. Well it gets to be 6:45 pm and she finally text me and says its been a long day and she is very tired. I respond immediately asking if she still wants to go out. I get no response until 7:15 saying yes she does, but at that point I was kind of mad at the lack of consideration or response so I said I couldnt bc I hadnt even shaven a taken a shower for the date bc I had not heard from her all day. We talk about it and she sees where im coming from so we re schedule the date for the next day which is friday....
Now on friday we set up the meet at the same time and place and she text and confirms with me and we meet right on time no problems. we talk out on the patio at barnes and noble for about 2 hrs its going great. as a side note we already said if the date is going good she would come with me to taco mac to have some drinks with me and some co workers at about 10pm. So around 9 30 I asked her did she still want to go to taco mac and she says yes. At taco mac she doesnt say much which is understandable its a first date and she barely knows me much less anybody else, but I try and include her in the conversation as much as I can. Now I should go ahead and tell yall she is a smoker for this next part to make sense. I ordered a burrito for my meal, and she said she wasnt hungry so she didnt order anything. When my food arrives and I start to eat it, out of no where she starts lecturing me how bad that the burrito is and how I shouldnt be eating it, this goes on for about 10 min finally my friend bill goes well maybe you should quit smoking before you lecture anybody about their eating habits, and that makes her be quite and she said you are right to him. So the rest of the night goes on without a hitch but not much of her talking and when we go back to my car she even apologies for what she said about my food, but wanted me to know how bad it was. I let it go and any who we text and talk sat and sunday with everything going well so on sunday night I asked her if she wanted to go jogging with me tonight aka monday and she said yes...
So its monday aka today and we text some while she is at work. we were suppose to meet a 6:45 so at six I asked her are we still going. I dont hear nothing til 6 30 when she tells me she is going to get a new phone with her mom. She is 22 by the way. I have not responded to that text bc in my book thats strike three and your out. Do yall think im doing the right thing or should I say something?

I would move on. She doesn't seem that into you. If someone wants to be with you they will move mountains to make it happen.
The not returning texts promptly is a huge indicator for me. It takes 10 seconds to send a short sweet text. Unless your fingers are broke you better return my texts. If even then figure out how to type with your damn nose.
That's my 2 cents
I suck at relationships so it's probably best not to listen to me

When talking to a gal about a date, talk to a gal about a date... Hate to be old fashioned, but texting is for noobs! And the damn cubs are ruining the cougars with this texting crap... Hell, anymore, you can't even get them on the phone to talk to... 
Why weren't you ready to go? Good Lord Man... You have a discussion about "stuff" and you haven't even done your part. You could have met her that night...
The smoking thing was a little wierd, but now you know she is opinionated and not afraid to share them with you. She did listen, think about it, change direction and apologize, I am thinking that is worth several points in a positive direction.
There are bad pitches, and bunts, and foul balls flying all over the place on this one... But she seems like she will atleast communicate with.
Call her on the phone and discuss it with her... Not strangers on the internet! 
It's all about communication, negotiation and compromise... 
BTW, was the phone for her or for her mother?

i agree. i typed out this long response in regards to my thoughts on texting then deleted it but here goes again.
it's good for short messages, flirting, or btw type of things but i don't keep my phone glued to my hip and i get distracted, leave the phone in the other room, can't text and drive, forget to look at it 100 times a day (text ringer is one beep), and then people get annoyed when i don't respond immediately.
phone calls are better but i'm not always a big talker either. i'm actually working on it! i go through phases.

we have talked many times on the phone so not just texting, I was using thge text as just confirmation of the date, not having complete conversations.and yall may be right but at the end of the first date she asked if I liked her so if she is not that into me I dont know, thanks for yalls input though

I meant earlier yesterday, she was not responding.like I said she sent me 3 text after we were suppose to meet. two from her mom's phone and one from her new phone saying are you mad at me. I did not respond to those text. I will call her today, but like I said im making her sweat bc I can lol. Might be the wrong move but its what im doing
