Divorced once could be anything. Twice or more... possibly, unless they just had some really bad luck. I've heard people do change once they settle down sometimes. Maybe they just realized they weren't right for each other or had a falling out. I'd ask her about it when you feel comfortable to do it, but just on the basis that it happened I wouldn't jump to assume anything unless you happen to know the other side of the story too.

I've been divorced 3 times......only thing wrong with me is my picker....first an alcoholic (at the ripe old age of 26), second was a cheater, liar, druggie, drinker womanizer with a second life.....26 years I put up with him. The last one I supported for 5 1/2 years after he lost his job 6 months into the marriage. I divorced him when I realized that the ONLY contribution he made to the relationship was "Hi, what's for dinner?"
Hold it against me if you wish! However, my thoughts, I'm holding it against you if you want to be married! I don't!

I'm just being a smart a$$! I just don't see the stigma other than it could be an indicator that they are not marriage material. That would only come from getting to know them.
My parents were married 25 years and divorced. We all said that we couldn't figure out how they ended up married in the first place! My dad was married to his second wife for 25 years before he died. Mom was married to her second husband 10 years before he died. Both were in a much better relationship the second time around......they really fit their second spouses. There was NOTHING wrong with the people....they just weren't a good match.

I already did. His 1st wife cheated-he came home and caught her in the act! His 2nd wife eventually turned out to be a closeted lesbian who married him for what she could get out of him. At the time he owned a small restraunt and as soon as it went out of business she told him she was gay and dumped him. I never did either of those things, or wanted to, so we stayed married till he passed away. I'm sure glad that both those b*tches were too stupid to recognise a good man when they had him!

Along the same lines as this, divorced twice myself. I had no intentions of keeping someone around that was never happy or refused to honor their commitment.
Although I have no intentions of getting my third strike? I would enter a relationship with some one else that had two strikes slowly. Some can`t seem to grasp that they were the problem in the relationship.
