There are social/religion/moral reasons that this doesn't play very well OP. I guess I know what you are saying mathematically. Indeed if you are accepting the argument that relationships are transactional (they are but not a $dollar fee for service calculation like you are making) then perhaps in cold stark heartless terms the math works...
Simple example... $300 "poke & pop" hooker twice a month (about average for a married guy with kids) for 20 years is $144,000
versus modern marriage
have to guesstimate some figures, house(s), 2 cars, day care, clothes, food, entertainment
easily $2-3 Million over 20 years plus the very real chance of divorce alimony/child support somewhere along the way
its a sad way to go but I guess you are right from a dollar standpoint

Let me break it down for you females on here how expensive dating is for us men, since it is obviously apparent you've never be the dominate party in a "date":
* Gas to go pick you up, and depending on where you live this can be anywhere from 5$ to 100$ if we have to go to another state (as it seems I ALWAYS DO since most of the women interested in me are not from Tennessee).
- If we have to go to another state, this means we have to drive anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours (or more). This can pile up to about $150 in gas.
- If were driving that far were probably going to want to spend a few days there to get to know you. Chink 27.00 a night at a cheap hotel.. (If your lucky), 45.00 a night (If you aren't)
- If the woman knows you well enough to let you stay at her house, you can subtract the hotel costs.
* Activities, and Gas to take you to them, whether this be movies (7.50 a ticket generally plus 20.00 in popcorn and drinks) or restaurant (average 42.00 for a meal for 2 ata decent restaurant)
* Multiply by the number of days you stay in her city.
**** But wait, you say she doesn't want to go out to places, or movies or restaurants? Alright, so activities at her place then? Cooking? Who buys the stuff to cook with? Does she? or Do you?. Rented movies? Of course the guy is going to pay. Take out? Also paid for if you all don't cook.
Minimum cost to go on a few dates with a woman from our of state for well say.. 2 days:
Around $1000.00 (Give or take 300.00)

In State:
* Gas
* Dinner
* Movie
Total - 1 night = $100.00 - $200.00
And you are NOT guaranteed to get laid, or that she will even call you again, yet you are expected as a male to dish out the cash.
And if the woman doesn't call you for whatever reason, you mine as well have burned the cash for all the good spending it did you. I mean hey if you get laid at least you got laid....

When I meet woman spends that kind of money on me daily like I am expected to spend on women on dates, I'll be happy man, but to be honest I'd rather my partner invested it into stocks or something for both of us to have a stable income from the dividends, not reliant on a job.

Honestly I think you are the sucker at that point. Meet 1/2 way- then you will know if she really is interested and will to split the cost. If a guy drove out of state for me, then I would have him at my place, cook for him (my food) and make sure the agenda is filled at my cost... afterall he drove to see me.

If I could take back every dollar I've spent on 'Dates" over the last 10 years, I'd be a millionaire. Driving a f**king Lamborghini, with a mansion as a home. (You think I'm kidding? I'm not.)
The issue is nickle and dimeing, 5$ here 25$ there, 50$ here doesn't hurt you in the short term, but months down the line after repeated dates and bills starts to drag on your wallet and your finances, eventually you realize you've spent about 20,000 over the past year on "dates".

Interesting thought... just for the sake of discussion[not specifically you Aillee...you in the people "you" sense)- not a man woman fight or argument about marriage being "ownership".
If you date a guy/gal some period of time (whatever appropriate for your social/religous mores) and you begin to have a sexual relationship but no marriage occurs- weren't you in effect "rented"-even if it were longer term than the one event-one fee arrangement the OP is talking about....

I wouldn't want to be around a person who wants me to "go away" after.

No, I've known many women to pretend innocence to snag a guy then turn on the other side once she believes he's hooked and believe sh can do no wrong. Both turn me on for different reasons.

If your not spending a dime with her then no, dating isn't renting.
If however you seem to be draining your bank account 5 here 10 there, 20 here, whenever she is with you, then I hope your at least getting laid. Because your paying for her time.

I see it as one in the same. Chances are, you're gonna date for a while then split up. While you're with her, you will spend money. If you were renting her, you'd be with her for a while, spend cash on her, then she's gone.
Same thing.
So, with the games, and control, renting is better.
