My Self-Summary
It's really hard to write about yourself. Where do I start? I'm a certified social studies teacher still looking for a job, so right now I'm subbing and waiting tables. I'm passionate about teaching and about making a difference. It's all I've ever wanted to do. I lead a relatively quiet life, some might say I'm nerdy (haha) but I guess I'm not your typical nerd. I love to read, open to whatever, but lately I've been in a romance mood. I also like James Patterson and other suspense, and I freely admit I love Twilight and Harry Potter (don't judge me!). I like Chuck Palahniuk, although in moderation because he's so twisted. I also write, and would love to ultimately write novels after I get some more life experience. My roommate and I would die without TV on DVD, we absolutely hate commercials, probably as a result of the TV on DVD, haha. We crochet, again because we're nerds, but it's really relaxing in a stressful school environment. I also consider myself pretty creative, and I like to do all sorts of other projects as well. I'm generally a homebody, but I love to go out with the right people.
I love to watch football, I'm a Ravens fan! (I'm originally from the Baltimore area, still sort of live there). I also like the Saints, they're my second team (no, not a bandwagon fan, lol). At first glance you would never guess I like to watch football, but I do!! My Dad has season tickets and it's so much fun. My college doesn't have a football team, and its terrible. 
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently a college senior, I'm graduating in May with a degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies). I hope to begin by teaching Middle School, and maybe eventually move to the older kids. (I student taught high school seniors, message me and I'll tell you all about it )
If I ever came into a ton of money (one can dream, right?) I would love to take a year off and lobby in D.C. for the reinstatement of Social Studies in elementary schools and for a raise in teacher pay. I'm passionate about teaching, and as my parents would tell you, I have been since I went to "real school" in first grade. I love the room for creativity, and the feeling I get when I know that lightbulb goes on for a student.
I also love to be a student, after I teach for a few years I want to go to Columbia for my Master's degree, possibly in educational law. I'm fascinated by policy making, and I would love to be a part of revamping the education system in the United States.
Since I have my summers free, I hope to also pursue a secondary career as a novelist. Not that I think I can be the next great American writer or anything, but I always seem to have stories tumbling around in my head, and I love to write. https://DateHookup.dating/images/smiley/coffee.gif
