I'm generally a nice guy, often to my detriment when it comes to the dating circle unfortunately, as walking up to a random stranger and offering a lame pickup line isn't my style. Although once people get to know me, they easily find that I'm honest, energetic, intelligent, caring, passionate.
I moved here to the east coast about a year and a half ago and it's growing on me. I'm originally from Washington State via Alaska and the difference in the climate and the culture took a bit of getting used to. I am glad I live here in Annapolis though, as it seems the perfect balance of distance from the cities while being able to provide the charms of a small historical city right outside my doorstep... the fact that the area offers so many great photographic opportunities is a definite bonus too.
I enjoy good food and will go out of my way to get it- sometimes my overall orientation towards being healthy suffers for it, but this is just another example of my mantra mantra of "enjoy life as much as you can" that I try to live by.
I'm looking to meet people who don't want to be extremely serious right now, but who I can look forward to doing things in the area (and maybe further out) with as well as just meet up with and have a drink. I really like exploring and am trying to see as much on the east coast as possible. The fact that everything here is so old compared to where I grew up hasn't lost it's novelty yet, something that I am trying to monopolize upon in order to keep the drudgery of a daily routine from setting in.
Now this is a site with the words "hookup" in the URL, which to be completely honest was the first reason I took a notice of it out of the list of recommended "dating" sites I found online; I mean I am human after all. But once I found out that there were actual human beings on this site, the thought of having someone I could both meet up with in the evenings as well as go do fun and enjoyable things with began to sound very appealing.
