I'm a 34 yr old mother of three ages 16, 14, & 11 who was involved in a mva (car accident) leaving me paralyzed from the waist down in May '04. I have been separated from a 14 yr marriage for almost 5 yrs now & in the midst of a divorce.
My likes/dislikes, & favorites:
My favorite colors r green & purple & turquoise.
My favorite music genre is the 90's-00's to some current. I like r&b, hip-hop/pop, country, rock/alternative, & the 50's (doo-wop era).
I like American, BBQ, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, seafood, etc. I don't have any favorites unless u count sweets, lol, & I can't eat anything spicy.
I like romantic comedies the best but also comedies, action/drama, & some animated films. (I don't generally like documentaries and won't watch any scary/horror type films...).
I like to read & if it's for enjoyment, I'm usually a hopeless romantic with romantic fiction books, lol.
My favorite activities vary. I love to dance (even if it's mainly on the sideline now, lol) & I love to play pool (even though I spend most of my time laughing at myself...) I like playing cards (spades & hearts) & dominoes including a game called chicken foot. I love going to/watching comedians & music concerts. I like to bowl but thank God for the bumper rails, lol... I like hanging out with friends & family to BBQ, go to the pool/lake/ocean, & to go to the park. Including water parks & theme parks with roller coasters & water rides (if I have a little extra assistance...). I like traveling if I have the right person to share the enjoyment with. I play on the Wii ever so often with my kids & like putting together puzzles sometimes too.
I'm looking for friends but hopefully in the long run will find someone who compliments me & is in it for the long haul too. I know that everybody isn't meant for everyone, so if I don't find mr. right, hopefully I'll meet some truly good friends along the way.
I'm looking for that man who likes being a part of family life & wants to be as much a part of my children's lives as they may want/need him in theirs, not a replacement daddy cause they have one. I also want to be a part of his kids too. I strive to be family-oriented, even including extended family. That's something I was raised with & is very important to me. I'm not someone who is closed off to having more children if that were to decide farther down the road that 1-2 more were wanted, but that doesn't mean that's a definite. I'm very big on family & don't want someone in my life who doesn't value the importance of family.
I realize that every person isn't meant for everyone in this world & that after getting to know each other that friendship may be the best outcome. But, I also believe that any long lasting, loving relationship must be based on a true friendship in order to weather the storms that will undoubtedly come their way.
The most important traits in a man that I'm looking for include: friendship, trust/honesty, faithfulness, loyalty, caring & loving, open communicator, good personality, good sense of humor, family-oriented, hard-working, old fashioned morals, understanding, romantic & good hearted.
I also want someone who looks at me as a human being of worth. Someone who doesn't see me as a burden. Someone who knows that I have a lot of life still to live & a lot of love still to give. AND I'm not interested at all with "booty calls" or fwb. I'm sure that I'm leaving other important things out but that's a good start...
