*Please, I'm not into long-distance relationships. If I couldn't meet you after work for dinner & still be home in time to tuck in my girls, I'm not interested. I don't have time/money/inclination to go out of town just to meet someone from online. And I'm not into entertaining someone from out of town who came to meet me. Too much pressure. We'd fall in love, rack up lots of frequent flyer miles going to see each other, I'd redeem my miles on a girls-only vacation to somewhere tropical, a compromising pic of me & a cabana boy would surface, there would be arguing, next thing you know, you'd have to explain to your friends what happened to that cute blonde you met online. I don't want your friends to hate me so I'm keeping it local.*
I enjoy being a bit of a smartass. Being able to handle sarcasm, putting up with my obscure trivia references, random movie quotes and having a great sense of humor are must-haves.
I love Ebay. I can't live without music - rock, country, Broadway musicals, top 40, sometimes classical (I like Handel). I like to sing along - whether or not I do it well is an opinion best kept to yourself. I'm an animal lover but I still enjoy a big, thick, juicy grilled steak. I love Monty Python, Douglas Adams, Adam Sandler movies, anything scary (even though it scares me and I turn into a huge coward) and dressing up - costumes or formal wear.
I like to watch football. That's the only sport I get into, really. I like a little of everything - cooking, baking, reading, sewing, dancing, singing, watching movies, going to concerts, all the usual. I don't have much free time but I would like to spend some of it meeting new people.
My kids are the most important thing in my life. I'm recently divorced so I'm not anxious to jump into anything serious. I would like to find someone to date casually, someone who understands the shortage of free time. I enjoy physical contact once I get comfortable with my date - physical chemistry is important (to me). I like to do things to make someone feel special and of course it’s equally nice to get that same courtesy in return. I don't expect all of your time (see above) but when we are together, I enjoy the one-on-one attention. I won't bother dating someone who doesn't give me butterflies - please don't bother if you don't feel the same. Even though I'm not looking to get married for a while, I also value my time and don't want to waste it on so-so encounters.
