 I do Carloina Shag, Salsa, Swing, ballroom, etc.. I love to dance.

Now when I do swing it is all swing except for the part where soneone throws me up into the air 5 feet. Don't do that anymore, actually never did that part.

that's kind of the way it is here - there's a lot that THINK they know how, but really don't ... or those that stumble over their words or blush when you try to drag them onto the dance floor ... it's kind of hard being a female teaching a guy how to LEAD ... i wish there were classes, i'd have a lot more luck dragging friends to that, so i'd have some more guys to go out dancing with ...

 I taught country dance for awhile, getting a novice to be able to lead is more about confidence than ability. I had clients that knew the steps hands down, but lacked self confidence. Once you're sure they know the steps, try making them lead by just going limp. Don't take the reins at all. You may run into a few people until they step up, but they'll either sink or swim!

 Hey..I so love to dance especially country line dancing. I want to go Friday night in Salt Lake City to the Westerner so bad.....but need friends to go too. Wish all you dancers could be in SLC this weekend. LOL This would be a fun group activity for those that like to dance.

 there's a neat place in Lincoln, NE called the PLA MOR BALLROOM. On Sunday nights, they have a live band, and half the ballroom floor is line dancers and the other half is swing dancers. I used to love when my old job would take me up that way, I'd arrange business around it so I could dance up there.

Unfortunately for me, the car wreck I was in a week ago means I won't be dancing for some time now - just the lack of being able to move about and do my daily activities is enough to make me frustrated, take away my dancing and running and working out, and I'm not sure what to do with myself.

 wow. i never said anything about line dancing, and you go accusing me of it like it's awful? there's a time and a place for line dancing, i'll give it that. but if you actually read my post, it's about swing and two step, as is my video - that's my forte. and i've been thru hays, never had time to hit the bar scene, though.

 I took a class on ballroom dancing once for a few weeks. It was great! We didn't cover the swing dance so much as we did others, but I wished we would have because I'd really like to try it. We mainly went over the waltz, salsa, and others. It also helps if you have a good partner ha.
