They don't look alike but they use similar tactics. Currently Obama is trying to use the budget cuts to cut essential government services in order to cajole the American people into demanding more money to fund his utopian ideas. He cut White House tours, released criminals, threatened that airport security would be diminished (eliminating the TSA completely would be a good move by the way). He shut down an aircraft carrier that jepardizes defense. He has instructed at least one federal agency to make sure the cuts were as painful as possible proven by a leaked email and probably instructed others to do the same thing. He is trying to make realty where there is no substance and doing it for his own political purposes. This guy is literally overtly and covertly sabotaging the country and should be disciplined accordingly.

Everything you just mentioned is hallmarks of american politics. From the very start we've had the same divisions.
There really isn't a comparison to our time with Hitlers. What happened during the years after ww1 and up until and during ww2 and the tactics used can be used by anyone with any political ideology.
I don't think the american people would buy in to a hitler figure. the social dynamics for that to happen do not exist in american society today.
The fascist and racist stuff comes from the far right however. If the tea party movement had alot of younger supporters, then that might be a something akin to the kind of people that would have supported the third reich.
I dissagree with liberals on 3/4s of issues, but the one thing I can't see is them putting jews in ovens. But the people who boo gay soldiers and cheer the death of the uninsured.....sure I can see that group supporting something like that.
Obama is an American president. He will use the same tactics as the presidents before him and the president will use after him to push their agenda.
Its this garbage that makes the rest of us with good points look stupid. This discredits anyone else who isnt insane who have conservative view points.

I am appalled at the ideas and statements of these entrenched progressive liberal fools. Answering a queston by changing the subject or talking about something else is a common and much too often used method of "debate", especially by progressive liberals. They use it every time they can't answer because they know they've been beaten.
Feinstein being condescending to a superior intellect because she has been around longer exemplifies all that is badly wrong in Washington DC....on both sides of the asile. McCain was just as bad with his criticism of Rand Paul. It's time to get these stodgy established knucklehead insiders out of there.
I was particularly appalled at Harry Reid's contention that the "sequester" had anything to do with a Marine training accident. I have no words to describe how disgusting that assertion is. Harry Reid is a despicable, foolish piece of trash, the lowest of the low using a tragedy during a military training facility and the lives of patriotic soldiers to justify his sick agenda. The man has no honor, none at all trying to manipulate the misfortune of his betters into a victory for himself. Simply disgusting!

That is a very important point. Directors of various government department "ofs" (Homeland Security, Labor, EPA, Tranportation, etc.) set the agendas for rule making. They are political appointees often appointed to run an agency for which they have little or no real experience or expertise. It also doesn't matter which political party appoints them, they both sometimes promote their political opinions to the exclusion of what is actually "right" or best practices.
Many will argue that they cannot make law so it doesn't matter, but when you understand the charters of these agencies and the rule making process you know there is little difference.
In creating each of these departments the following preamble establishes authority of the political appointee. SIC: "The Secretary of (insert administration here) has the authority to make rules and those rules shall have the power, force and effect of law.". With that in mind one might ask what is the diffrence between a "rule" made by EPA or DOT or OSHA and a "law" made by Congress? There are significant differences.
When Congress makes a law it's done. The only oversight is if someone successfully challenges it's constitutionallity in the courts. The Supreme court can rule it unconstitutional and vacate it. The only other recousre is for Congress itself to change or repeal it.
A "rule" is different. First it must fall withing the authority granted by Congress. Then it must be announced and published in the Federal Register along with an explanation of who, what, when, where, why, justifications, and other particulars. It is left open for public comment and the agency must address those concerns. That gets fuzzy because they can simply say they don't agree if comments are hostile to their agenda. Countering that tactic comes later. After addressing those issues (or not) a final rule is published in the Federal Register along with an effective date. On that date the rule becomes part of the Code of Federal Regulations and has the power, force and effect of law.
There is one other big difference between the two. You cannot "sue" Congress, but any private citizen can "sue" the secretary of any federal agency. Environmental activists often use this tactic to hold up or force changes in environmental laws. Business and industry groups also use the tactic to prevent rulemaking they consider harmful to their interests.
The president controls the "Departments Of" through political appointments and has the power to make "rules" but not "laws". Though it can be a lot of power, it easily limited by Congress if Congress chooses to do so. In the end Congress is in charge, not the president.
When you get right down to it the president is really just an elected government "employee". Because of it's constitutional authority the Congress effectively is the government because of it's authority to pass laws and appropriate money and resources. The president has no such power or authority and as such, in spite of disagreements, disputes, and political arguements, Congress is still the boss.

If you read what Hitler did for Germany was awesome, there depression was 10 time worse than here in America. in 5 years from the most terrible economy to a surplus one. German man and female could eat and make a living in there homeland. Germany is for Germans. I lived in Germany for 7 years in the 70's and 80's. I speak German fluently. I have family over there. I had a lot of hunting buddies...old guys...that fought in WWII and were very familiar with Hitler, the Nazi Party, and their country during the time Hitler ruled. Their consensus was that he did some good things, especially early on to cement his power. But those were far overshadowed by the great harm, brutality, and atrocities he and his henchmen committed once they consolidated power.
Two of my buddies told me the best thing that happened to them was to be captured by the Americans. Both spent time in a POW camp in Texas. They worked on potato farms owned by American farm families. They still exchanged Christmas cards until they passed away. Lothar was captured when he was shot in the knee and wounded by an American GI in France. He said it was the best thing that ever happened to him. It was the only escape from the mess that Hitler made.
Ernst was a radio signal intercept linguist and translated American military radio traffic. He was captured in Italy was the other POW and repeated an oft repeated turn of phrase to me. He said they came for the Jews and he didn't care for he wasn't Jewish, then they came for the gypsies, but he wasn't so he didn't care, then they got the retarded and crippled people. Then they came for him and there was nobody left.
Obama and many of the far left share some similarities with Hitler. They care about the little guy and help the people (handouts, SNAP, WIC, subsidized housing, free Obamaphones, Obamacare)but it is really just a method of capturing them and putting them under government control. When you are dependent on government for your food, housing, communications, and now health care they have you. By making so many dependent on government benevolence it is possible to reach point where government has enough people under control to assume control of the rest is easy.
That is where we are headed if we don't take control back before it is too late. Already there is a government rule or regulation at the federal level that has some control or influence over everything you do in your day to day life. They tell you what you eat by mandating what is in food and how it is processed, they have rules telling farmers how much of what to grow and how to do it for plants and animals. They even mandate how much water your toilet uses when you flush it (3.8 liters). There are tags on your pillows and mattresses, they mandate how your car is built and decide how you must drive it, where, and how fast. They fondle you at the airport, monitor your emails and social networks, track your whereabouts through your cell phone, and the list goes on.
Back when I was in my teens early 20's (wow, a long time ago but is seems like yesterday)things were very different. People were different. I used to take my .22 rifle to school on the bus when I lived in the country. I would turn it in to the nice ladies in the office and pick it up after school and me and JD Rogers would walk home hunting squirrels through Oliver Clupper's woods. It was no big deal. Today they expel a little kid for skiing a girls hand. If you take a gun to school or even near a school you go to jail. In high school half the pickups in the lot had easy rider rifle racks in the back window with a shotgun and a .22 plainly in view. Nobody got shot, no schools got shot up, and the only danger was to rabbits and squirrels.
In a way I feel sorry for kids today. You guys are missing so much and have much less freedom than we had. Why the difference? It is ever increasing government control of everything you do 24 hours a day 78 days a week. Liberals are behind it. Be aware of them. They are not out to help anybody. They are out to control everyone. IF you guys don't wake up they will succeed and just like back in the days of Hitler, you won't notice until it is too late.
Hitler wanted a "Master Race". Obama and company want a subjugated people and they don't care much about race except as a tool to divide and conquer us. They want a docile herd of sheeple. Don't be one. The real America is depending on you.

For what I have researched about Hitler he was a mass murderer #1 to my recollection President Obama hasn't murdered a single soul unless you're thinking of our young men and women who were killed because Bush had a hangover!! Before they look to Hitlers Germany and compare Obama to that atrocity, perhaps they ought to look at the attempted genocide (did a bang up job too, no pun) from Columbus through the 1800's. I wouldn't be surprised if Hitler himself looked to our military at the time for guidance. Seems to me we had a few concentration camps of our own.

He was very offensive to the Pope. I suspect he is not that popular any more after falling from grace. But, I may be mistaken.

Please inform me where you received your knowledge. For what I have researched about Hitler he was a mass murderer #1 to my recollection President Obama hasn't murdered a single soul unless you're thinking of our young men and women who were killed because Bush had a hangover!! Obviously you don't know to much about Hitler common sense would tell you technically speaking if he was a Hitler wanna be you'd be gone!!?? HA! I'm wondering how could Obama accomplish much of anything with the jackasses in office who refused to support him in anything....you know I will keep YOU PEOPLE IN MY PRAYS YOU'LL NEED IT
He personally authorizes every drone strike, including those against American citizens overseas. He has personally authorized and directed the killing of hundreds, and stood idly by as our ambassador and soldiers were murdered. That doesn't sound like "a single soul" to me.
His ObummerCare has also cost people their health and resulted in undue death and suffering as loss of treatment for ongoing medical conditions as sick people's teams of medical providers were lost and replaced with unavailable providers under his signature health care plan.
On top of that in addition to his lack of fundamental traditional American-like behavior, he still hasn't come up with a credible birth certificate including the one posted on his very own web site:
