stargazzer Creighton, NE 66, joined Feb. 2007	Thanks for the slk, Yes I picture miss orz a happy lady on her farm & a pretty kool farm at that with her own river, all their is not rust Just called the lady about the Rye tractor and she forgot to say anything to her husban but she said she would write it down this time Got the Surrogator out yesterday and got it ready to put out at the east end of my shelterbelt trees, Now I need to get the pheasant pen ready to for Quail wensday as jeff ordered 200 quail & the surrogator will not hold that many so will need to put at least 75 quail in my pheasant pen. anyway I'm hopeing to have it all ready for quail later today.

orz Portage, WI 64, joined Jul. 2010	I'mmmm baaaack!! What a week. First..I want that banjo steering wheel AND that ratrod diorama pond..super COOL!!! Ok..catch up... Motel parking lot...another guy that was PARKED in it when it flooded...back to Madison...64 restored nearon trailer queen..new seals, gaskets....flooded car and has the whole new interior torn out now. Joes truck went off side of parking lot and the front apron, underneath of fender bent up and pass. fender is buckled between headlight bumpout and wheel well. And lightening took out the modem for the twins and fried Joes puter to the max. I told him at least it is not truly done and in primer and not painted yet. Still hurts when our babies get owies. Still collecting feed back on 50s storms damages. At least Bub didnt get drowned...good year to NOT have gone there. Iola is the 11-14th. Now after my night I am skittish about leaving the farm even more so. Tree down on lines and fire last nite in downpour. See post on luck thread. So today I can start cutting up the part of the tree. Getting too old for this s***!

morles San Antonio, TX 70, joined Nov. 2007	Number of Chevy's in Pierce Neb for Auction Sept 28 and 29th Lambrecht Chevrolet of Pierce, Neb., was like many Midwestern, small-town dealers — owned and operated by a family, with minimal overhead and little need for advertising since most customers were neighbors. Ray and Mildred Lambrecht ran the dealership with just one employee for 50 years before closing up, and later this year the Lambrechts will sell off a trove of 500-odd vehicles they've held onto over the decades — including roughly 50 with less than 10 miles on their odometers. It's less a car sale than a time capsule auction. While many of the cars in the Lambrecht collection were customer trade-ins that were left outside to rot, the Lambrechts would occasionally take something they couldn't sell and just put it in storage. City folk might find it unthinkable to leave so many vehicles lying around for so many years, but there's always more space in rural Nebraska, and the annual costs fall to zero quickly. I wouldn't call it hoarding, but I know many people who gather old metal like this do form an attachment to their kingdom of rust; every ride has a story, even when there's weeds growing around it. Jeannie Lambrecht Stillwell, the Lambrecht's daughter, says the decision to sell wasn't an easy one for her parents, and that the cars "comprise a lifetime of hard work, tears, and joy." This one has to be one of the best. I can't believe the number of new (MSO) cars they had stored there. The 78 Vette will probably be the gem of the auction. The new 64 Impala will be a big $$ car as well as the new 63. The 1 mile 58 Cameo pickup has some serious roof damage, or it would have been up there with the vette..... I am chomping at the bit to see the total catalog of cars..... The stuff they rolled out of the garage is numbing. Some of the NOS parts boggle my mind as well. Would love to see it, but can't afford what I think this stuff is going to go for.

I think the new name is Stuby's or something like that? I have not ben their yet and don't think the bar & resteraunt is yet open but not shure? Norfork is on the other side of Perice & Osmond has a good motel I think and it is about 14 miles from Perice & 20 something from me. It will be generaly a high over priced sale but with all the stuff for sale I'm sure goodies will be found by some. Perice had a MOPAR dealer much like this one that sold out 25-30 years ago, It was quite a sale as I remeber & I bought a 39 Ply sedan delivery on that one. And wished I had bought a lot more.

Jay Leno's first car was a 55 Buick 2 door hardtop. He drove that car to Los Angeles and kept it. It was resto-modded a few years back and is in his collection. There was a write up in one of the car rags about it a couple of years ago.....

The big money never over pays. If they buy something expencive, it is worth it.

A Breeze Way was going to be in between the two sheds.. but I have a brand new 8x7 Garage Door (still in the box) stored in the big trailer.. so decided I will use it and enclose the Breeze Way for Lawn Mower Tractors. edgers..power washer, etc etc....as the roof will be continous (30 ft) This eliminated my Garden Spot... But no use to go to an auction that would do nothing but make me cry. Besides..dont need a truck with damage..have enough of those.
