I like all of these responses except for the one who say Love doesn't exist. If it didn't then how did you make it to be as old as you are? Some one must have Loved you enough to make it through. If you're that damn numb to life, suicide is always an option and that's putting it lightly coming from a girl who feels as strongly about love as I. It will hit you some day. When True Love knocks you down, you won't be getting back up. It exists... you just don't know what it is and that's your problem.

one can't possess love so that is a second definition but love as to what it is think of this. If you wish to know what love is. Look to a flower. It has enough sense to bend if there is a wind and enough sense not to if there isn't one. If you cut it down today, and it grows back tomarrow it will hold you no ill will. Just spread forth it's peddles towards the sun showing it's beauty to the world

What Love isn't
Infatuation - This is not love and many people put someone up on a pedestal making them someone they are not but only what they see them as at the time and not really knowing them at all. It is an imaginary or the illusion of Love.
Lust is not Love - This is a feeling brought on my strong attraction and chemistry in the beginning and when people hardly know each other. Lust is lost and then feal love replaces it. If you still lust and it is stronger than anything else, it is not love it if falling in love with lust. Sometimes people fall in Lust and often misake it for Love.
Love is unconditional. Sex is just an expression. Love does not require sex exclusivly.
Love is accepting someone for who and what they are and not how you would like them to be. Love is the ability to give and receive without expecting anything in return.

No One Can Be Love. My name is not love. Love is something you give but you cannot give away what you do not have. Love is not about ego or words I agree. It is an expression based on how much you love and compassion you have for yourself. You cannot give what you do not have or take what you cannot receive. depending on someone else to give you love then you think you do not deserve it or can give it by depending on someone else is called Co Dependency and/or dysfunction.
Before you make false statements based on your own opinion and experience and not looking up the the definition is un acceptable to those that know What love is.. Love is not a mystery. Its there to behold in everything and not just people, or animals. or places or things. love is infinite. It is not based on money, sex or status quo.
