I don't date guys who don't love pets. It would be a waste of time. I dated a couple that said they did, but they really didn't they just lied. If they just tolerate them then its safe to say they don't love pets/animals. Its good to ask questions about how they feel about pets. I talked to someone on here and he said they are okay if they know their place. I was shocked that he said that. Know their place? Lol. That was a dead give away that he would never treat an animal good.

I agree Arlynetz, I had a guy push and knock my tiny dog down I was so mad I told him to leave and never come back. What a jerk. People who do not love animals will not respect yours. Its just the way it is. They may tolerate them but sooner or later when your not around they will do something mean to the pet. Not happening. People who are mean to pets have issues. They are the ones who end up being abusive, or psycho.

No they have to like animals even if they don't have any themselves. I have 2 parrot so they have to be ok with bird feather dust, some random loud screams and messy destruction.

Definitely. I don't want pets in the house shedding hair and pissing on the carpet, walking on the kitchen counters spreading germs and hair all over the furniture. Dogs bite and bark and lick you in the face after licking their ass.

I guess it would depend upon just how much they don't like pets... I mean if it's a matter of them not being aware of the fulfillment that one can get from caring for a pet then perhaps I could help them learn (with help from my dog!). But if they're unwavering and anti-pet all the way, then no... I wouldn't date them.

My ex had 3 dogs and 14 cats! Theres a limit when its no longer being into pets and being nuts.

I tried one to date this guy that didn't like pets. One day he came over to my place and my dogs are very sweet to every one and he was being a d*ck to them and me. I kicked him out never talked to him again. If someone is mean to a sweet animal that proves their true self a cold heartless person. I would understand being afraid or allergic you can't help that.

No, I would not because my pet is like a child. If your with a loved one you should be able to trust them all around. I can't leave home worrying that someone would mistreat my animal.

Never, my 2 dogs and cat come first. They give unconditional love 100%. I can and will compromise with someone as long as they can love my pets as much as I do and never mistreat them, my 100lb siberian husky would never allow it any other way.

I personally couldnt I can understand if someone has severe allergies to a certain type of animal that is something that cant be helped but someone that doesnt like animals at all you have to wonder about God put so much love in these creatures and they live to please you and dont ask for much in return

There was a guy I've dated lay year whom I had to leery go because he didn't like pets...I had a merle colored Phil who was still a puppy in my eyes and a jack terrier. Both smart dogs, then I had a Whippet mix with Laborador. The guy politely pushed his bags and left...hope he didn't expect me to go after him. I love my dogs as much as I love my children, especially when I've had then since they were cute little scrawny babies.
That guy is no longer apart of my life, but i still got my dogs..

Not at all!
Aside from their absurd taste:
they are liklely to be less healthy (studies show pet ownership boost heart health)
they are likely to be less fit (multiple studies show pet owners, especially dog owners, were 54% more likely than other adults to get recommended levels of exercise.)
They are likely to be more irritable and insecure (Pet ownership is associated with lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol levels, and less obesity.)
But, by all means, date non "dog/cat people" if you are content with dating fat, irritable insecure lazy slobs!

I could never date someone that dosent like animals . I was a fool once never again . I was dateing a guy for almost 6months he volunteered to take my cheesy a 120 lb Roti out to potty while i was at work . It worked out great till one day i came home from work and my cheesy was gone .He took him to the rescue down the street and the refused to return him even with police report. I will never let it happen again.
