At Walmarts, the lady had several packages of garden seeds, I noticed green and red peppers, and some kind of greens.

I asked her how she used them. She said she planted the seeds inside in pots first to let them sprout and then planted them outside.

Can I do herbs like this - rosemary, sage and thyme? What other vegetables can I do this way? How long do I keep them inside before transferring them outside?

Parsley, chives and oregano. I never plant them outside. They grow fine in inside planters. Im afraid if I did plant them outside, the neighborhood cats would have a feast lol.

I have an herb garden outside here in MO. It stays cat free....they don't have much to do with it.

I either buy small potted herbs or start them in small pots myself from seeds. Then I move them to larger pots before transplanting to their permanent place in the garden or nearby.
