I'm glad too see women posted their experience with regard to the men who lie about their age, height, weight or use old photos because it's very one sided in the media. It's happened to me twice and I overlooked it because their personality and ways won me over. However, I agree that women and men if you are not happy with what you look like, you are insecure or self - conscious.. it's on you to fix that. Personally, I don't post pictures because I'm hiding, I don't post pictures because of how open the internet is... When someone messages me if I feel a connection I'm upfront with recent photos.
The people who lie about what they look like are only hurting themselves, it's always going to be their loss because any attraction that was established gets ruined by stupid lies, and it's a waste of your time people.

It can be awkward, but I try to have a nice time anyways. You never know, but when they push asking, "don't I look just like my picture?" I don't lie about it either. One had pictures from 20 years ago (yes she admitted it), another grew 7 inches and then one forgot about adding a decade to her profile (was 66 not 56). The ones who do lie all seemed to justify their reasoning by saying, "well everyone does". Not everyone - i don't. Bottom line - a liar is a liar regardless to their reasoning. Not everyone is that way though. I've had a couple who look much better than their pictures.
Where the bigger problem was once is when I found myself on a date with a married woman who told me she was a widow. Ended up she was separated two months and just wished he was dead.

If you consider yourself large then I am morbidly obese and per my doctor, I am a healthy weight. I put average on my profile maybe I should change it you are curvy not LARGE!

You are so right. Coffee's the first date, and I ask to meet quick nowadays, but now I ask to see pictures that are recent from their phone, if they can't do it, forget it.

I met a guy off here for the first time and he was clearly much heavier than his pics or physical description. Not that would bother me so much, but he was deceptive. 
There is another man I had my eyes on for months now. I would have rather met him but after noticing he's more into any woman that flirts with him in the forums. I don't want that. Knowing I'm possibly going to be intimate with someone and they are on DH all day playing "would you have sex with the PAY"
Is it just me, or does that seem like a major turn off?
