A pop gun.
Preferably a ginger ale or seven up.
Then, because in a post apocalyptic world no one else would be around, I could drink it fast, belch really loud and not even have to say, 'excuse me'!!!!
It could get lonely in a post apocalyptic world so I would have to do it either in a stairwell, between buildings or in a valley so there would be an echo.
That way I could pretend I am not alone.

9mm ammo is the most plentiful.
I don't know about that. Since the recent acts of idiocy by a couple lunatics, rifle and handgun ammo is pretty scarce right now due to the induced panic by the media and the public, at least in my neck of the woods anyways. Around here you're going to play Hell finding any of it unless you load your own rounds. The most plentiful ammo I have seen on the shelves is shotgun shells and slugs.

You have to think ammo. Have a 9mm, a 22 rugar rifle for distance, 357 for 357 and 38 rounds, and a good shot gun. Most other rounds will be to hard to come by. Machine guns will piss through ammo to fast.
A 1911 might be the best gun ever built, but nato rounds are easier to come by.
True but 22 rounds are hard to find these days a 357 snub would have great kdp a 9mm is ok a .40 or 45 acp would be a better choice like the 1911 I'd rather stick with the M4 (ar15 .223) and a remington 700 .308 personal opinion

If I was limited, I'd take the Remington 870 and a 22 Cal. Rifle. If possible, a 357 or 45 Cal pistol and 30.06 rifle. Common ammo found most anywhere....until our government buys it all up and claims we are just having a shortage.

I would take my Remington 7600 carbine in 30-06. you can reload almost all .308 bullets, and can sabot with .22 bullets, I used to reload with sabot/.22 but there was no accuracy.. then for my sidearm I would take my S&W .41 mag revolver.

Not a bad choice. I'd want a flintlock, and a bullet mold. Why? Eventually, your ammo will run out. Black powder can be made. Chances are, lead can be found. I don't buy into that zombie garbage, unless they happen to be starving people. I'll be well fed and able to run away from them.
