Is there anyone in SoCal that knows anything of archery or hunting with a bow. I would like to learn how to hunt with my bow.

IMHO learning to shoot archery is best done with a recurve bow and instinctive sighting. No release. Basic skills first..start shooting close till you can group all your arrows (about the size of your hand)then start to lengthen your distance.....

Once you can master that the rest falls into place.

I now shoot a compound but still shoot instinctive/ no release.........
