I am considering my vote...
But how did kudzu not make the cut?
Or geraniums? I hate those ugly buggars.
Ok i am decided. Poison ivy for me... very allergic.
Wrong! Poison Ivy is a native plant with excellent red fall coloration. Once you learn how to recognize it, it is no longer a problem sidestepping it. Ignorance is no excuse.
Geraniums? Scented Geraniums are heavenly & Pelargonium graveolens is distilled for essential oil.

Tobacco, by far, is the most evil plant in the world, because it has killed so many people, & others make tons of money manufacturing it, so that it can kill more people
Wisteria is the second most evil plant, because of the environmental degradation is causes. It is a popular landscape vine that flowers fragrantly in the springtime. However, it is voracious, growing horizontal runners that easily escape cultivation & invade our natural ecosystems. It can strangle a tree & even pull a small tree down. Legislation needs to be created prohibiting it's continued sale; however, vendors make too much money selling it, unethically.
Tree of Heaven ranks third, aka, the Tree of Hell, or Ghetto Palm. A Chinese tree that has become North America's most common urban weed. It tolerates pollution well, it very fast growing, & spreads like fire. It is malodorous, especially in flower, being pollinated by flies. Copious seeds are wind dispersed. It is called Tree of Heaven because the thick branches always point skyward; it is strongly negatively geotropic
You're right, guess this was a test. Perhaps someone would like to debate, or suggest alternatives

Kudzu is an oriental legume like Wisteria, the difference being that Kudzu is herbaceous & Wisteria is woody. Kudzu is also more localized & rural. Kudzu is edible & even medicinal, although often contaminated with herbicide. It might be easier to eradicate than Wisteria
Kudzu was used to control erosion & improve soils through nitrogen fixation. It can be eaten by grazing animal;s like goats.

Who is audrey 2?
The best cure for poison ivy: oatmeal soap
Wash infected areas with oatmeal soap. Allow to soak in, actually scratch it in. You need to open the sores & allow the oatmeal to dissolve the poison ivy oil away.
The allergen is an oil & can spread. Sweating makes it spread.

Poison Oak (Toxicodendron diversilobum) is basically the same thing as Poison Ivy (Toxicodendron pubescens), with the former in western US & the later in eastern US.
Toxicodendron is commonly confused with Parthenocissus, the Virginia Creeper, which has 5 leaflets instead of 3. Virginia Creeper occasionally makes 3 leaflets, but Poison Ivy never makes 5 leaflets. Toxicodendron climbs with hairy rootlets, whereas Virginia creeper climbs by suckering tendrils

I would say the poppy has probably ruined more lives than any other plant.
2ndly I would say the Erythroxylum Coca plant is up there along with it!
But then again, it's probably not the plants fault. It is what man has done with them that has made them such killers and life destroyers!
So NEVERMIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weedy shrubbery like Ligustrum & Eleagnus are evil because they deteriorate our local environments. Left unpruned, they flower, fruit & set seed, giving rise to weeds. Ligustrum is especially common, especially on the coastal plain of SC, where this nuisance plant outcompetes natives. Nurseries that sell these plants suck

The number one most evil plant in my yard is the phallus mushroom. After a good rain or so a few dozen emerge from the mulch and torment me as I walk to and fro the house. Won't even think about gardening around them unless I have a partner. It seems they lean towards me as I walk by knowing I'm in dire need of some fertilization. Ah...the perils of being single, unlaid, and surrounded by phallus mushrooms.
Technically, fungi are not plants. Stinkhorns are evil bastards, but that's what you get for using wood chips as mulch. If you find them young, they can be dug up & disposed of, before they go fetid

After reading earlier comments about Wisterias, I tried to look up more information without much luck. I assume that what everyone is referring to is when a plant is NEAR a fence, building, tree and so on??? I've had one in the middle of my yard for the past 18 years that (knock on wood) I've never had any problems with. Is this because it's not planted near anything to attach to (And I do cut it back each fall) or is there a root system working it's way through the yard that's going to sneak up on me eventually?
In the SE, Wisteria is one of the most evil plants, second only to tobacco & Tree of Heaven. Wisteria spreads by running with horizontal stolons. The wood is quite hard & tough to cut. Anything is climbs on is ruined. It is South Carolinas No. 1 environmental catastrophe.
Perhaps you are too far north for it to be a problem. Count you blessings

Nurseries are sources of misinformation; they want to sell plants, not inform the community. Wisteria's stolons are above ground & easy to see & trip over. I would recommend burning yours. There are plenty of good vines available like Gloriosa

im surprised that no one mentioned spearmint.
this crap grows along the ground and it spreads.
we had a neighbor next door that never took care of anything, and just let it go all to hell.
the problem is....
in a neighborhood setting,we had a chainlink fence that separated our yards.
he had the ivy bushes, and those grew 8 ft tall and houvered over my rose bushes,as well as twining itself through the fence, and strangling whatyever it is that I had growing.
ironically, his home was deemed unlivable,so they tore it down.
I went over to his side and yanked the hell out of the roots, and got rid of the main stumps it was growing from.
but this annoying spearmint crap keeps wandering under the fence, and although it only creeps 8 inches over to my side, you either love the smell,or you cant stand it.
I swear, the only solution is pouring gas along his side, and completely killing whatever is still growing.
