After 36 1/2 years I found out that he was a cheat and a liar. He also seemed to think that his adult children wanted to know about his affairs. When my oldest grandson came to me and said, "Why are you so nice to Grandpa when he is so mean to you?" That is when I left. Three years later on our 40th wedding anniversary we were divorced on the grounds of "extreme mental cruelty". Him, not me.

Our goals changed and we grew apart.
Then we quit talking.
Then the space between us filled up with all the stuff we no longer said to each other.
After the space started filling up, it was done.
So, for my next one, I won't repeat my mistake. It is good if you can learn from your mistakes.

i came up with the brilliant idea of trying an open relationship, polyamory. growing up in the free love generation it seemed like a good idea at the time. long story short, she fell for someone else, and next thing you know, i was playing second fiddle. once the tide of her love turned, there was no going back. doh! what was i thinking!

After 24 years she said that she was tired of being married.Shortly thereafter I found out she was seeing the maintenance man at her work(which is my occupation).She moved out and gave me everything.Now she's sorry she did.BOO HOO!!

Mine decided that the day after her daughter graduated, she wanted to then move south and be free and close to her family! Forget about her "real" family being her husband and step-children.. So she left for 2 weeks came back and I found out she cheated on me...I still never wanted to go thru with the divorce but she pushed for it...so sad...

My ex told me that he wasn't IN LOVE with me anymore, but said he did love me..he said he wasn't happy anymore..then I found out he had been cheating on me..I had so much trust and faith in him it was hard to believe..I filed for divorce two days later..

He met a 19 year old topless dancer he couldn't live without. He was a Full Gospel Christian. He told me his girlfriend was pregnant on New Years Day (a Sunday) after we got home from church. He divorced me!!!She filled out the papers!!!! 5 years later she left him for another man who had gotten her pregnant!!! He called 2 years ago, crying and telling me he had made the biggest mistake in his life by divorcing me.  I forgave him. ------and told him if he ever called me again I would have him arrested.  I haven't heard from him since. P. S. I was told by a friend of his he is now living with another topless dancer/cocaine user.

After 30 years he just got tired of trying, I just wonder what he was tired of. He didn't work, didn't stay home, did't cook,clean house,wash dishes,wash, dry or put up laundry. He left and once the shock wore off, I divorced him. I knew he had another woman,won't be nasty about it just say he failed the taste test.

my wife left me durring the superbowl no less........now that's just heartless. after a week or so we talked about it and decided to divorce because we wanted different things out of life and couldn't get along to save our lives. we didn't want to put our daughter through the childhood i had of my parents constantly at each others throats........... oh and for the record ladies don't force your husbands to give up there friends it only makes them miserable.

My husband decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with someone else, and I decided to let him. Funny thing is, she left him after I moved out and a short time before the divorce. In the four years since, he has had 5 different girlfriends and is now remarried. And I thought I was dependent.

she got pregnant when i went to nam the first time i got a letter from my uncles wife (she was german so is my wife)right after the 68 tet offensive said she maid a mistake got pregnant i told her she needed to adopt the kid out and i would let it go...she did...i went back to nam 69 she told me she was pregnant thought it was mine found out march 2007 she got knocked up by my dad...both times ...i raised his bastard son!!!the divorce will be started in october...have to be here 6 month for residency.the old man is dead ...lucky for him ....she is still kicking...ain't much ican do....screwed up 40 years of my life.....stuff happens...i was mad for 3 or 4 days then experienced peace beyond all understanding.....Jesus works !!!!peace

She had an affair, walked out, moved in with an 18 year old (She was 32 at the time) and filed for divorce and told me there was no turning back.
I had two choices, take the uncontested divorce that she filed asking for nothing but her car and her belongings - or - Fight it out, pay legal fees and wind up losing half my house and paying alimoney.
I was heartbroken, but not stupid.
