Why are beautiful women single to the point of searching online?
1. They're not happy with the men who have come across their path in life. This doesn't mean all men near her are duds, just those that she has known.
2. It's assumed by men that really attractive women have every guy in town chasing after them and, probably, aren't looking for a date. No one asks them out. For these types of men see number 4.
3. There are some who have "Princess Syndrome" and doesn't seem approachable. Fortunately they are not the majority.
4. In this day and age men lack self-confidence: "What would she see in me"? Because of this men shy away from really attractive women. I wonder it some of this developed in grade through high school. Yes, we need to grow out of this but some of those memories hurt and still follow people (men and women) later on into life.
5. Online advertising says it should be easier than in real life. However, IMO, real life seems to be easier if we are in the right place at the right time.

I discount MOST of them right away. These are the women that would not have given me the time of day when I was in my teen's and twenty's.
Just because they are now looking for a stable man that is not an a**hole now, why should I give them the time of day now?

They're looking for George Clooney I guess and holding themselves open for him. (Isn't he gay?!?!?!?!) Too feminist so no guy meets their incredibly high standards? Can't get along with men perhaps since they have to have everything their way. They're pitiful, but have no hope of finding a guy if they don't cleann up their act.

I think it's just that segment of the population that doesn't feel comfortable with all the horn dog attention in real life. Some women are just able to enjoy the attention but keep those they don't want at bay. Of course many guys who get shot down get their undies bundled and call her a slut, blueballer or gold digger. Aesop's grapes and all.
Maybe all exceptionally pretty women are destined for places like this if they don't pair up. I imagine it gets tiresome, especially knowing that most only care about her appearance.
Here she can erase someone with a click. She doesn't have to leave a party because some drunken stooge won't take no.

It opens up they're dating network. Gives them the opportunity to meet and talk to guys they wouldn't meet on a regular basis. That and some women feel they have no time to date. So they resort to this site.

Yeah, I find the situation with profiles that have a laundry list of things the women wants kind of pointless.
Like if I see a profile where the girl goes on about how she doesn't want to get hurt anymore and is looking for Mr Right with a list of criteria (which generally describes a guy who doesn't exist),
or
who thinks she is hot stuff and has a list of what she wants because she's tired of being hit on and goes on about douchbags (and guys under 6 feet as she wants him to be taller when she wears heels) need not apply.
I pretty much pass it by because I stop and think, why the f**k would I want to get involved in this, there's a whole lot of demands and not much incentive.
I find it kind of funny. Do they honestly think that douch bags are going to look at their list and say oh, this one doesn't want to be used for sex or played with, I was totally going to do that but since she put it on her profile like that I'd better not respond. LOL
The whole ironic thing I find with women who post long lists of what they want in a guy is that the only people who are going to bother responding are the very self-assured douch bags they're trying to keep away from.
It becomes a vicious cycle in a way. Only douchbags bother responding and so they become more wounded and jaded and the list becomes a little longer and then more nice guys see it and don't want to bother and so only more douchbags respond...etc.
Just like how males on dating sites are expected to do the chasing and send out messages.
I think it's pretty much a given that women are going to get a lot of messages from douchnozzles no matter what you do. It's going to f**king suck but you know what, so does sending out 30 messages as a guy and not getting a single response.
Dating Sites in general kind of sucks.
In all seriousness though, don't do the whole laundry list of traits thing. As detailed above I really doubt the effectiveness of it.
Just keep your profile lighthearted (nobody likes a downer) and talk about yourself. If it's really bad try sending messages out to guys who you like.

I think women who are attractive on dating sites are either fake profiles, prostitutes, or just attention seeking and not actually interested in meeting a guy from here. The women who are serious are not as pretty . I'd say maybe 1 in 10 pretty women on here are actually the real person you see a picture of.

Did they find each other online? My statement only covers men supposedly online looking for dates.
Another section in that article is about who is actually online and dateable. Seems that in order to browse, one must be signed up. The pay sites use that to prop up their numbers of available people. I found two that I knew personally, both were married and inactive. Strange thing, one had used a photo I took of her. But, supposedly they were available. So those whom you may message may never see you. That sucks.

I don't really see what difference it makes but you could always select "Didn't Say" or "I'll tell you later" for salary
that should weed out the gold diggers and those for whom money or job is important.
I find that most of the guys who claim women are only interested in money or a guy with a good job etc tend to be from California which speaks for itself.
