"Red flags"
The term God fearing
Pics that look like models
Looking for a fun woman>fwb
Slang
Broken English in profile
Not everyone spells correct, but when 80% is spelt wrong makes you wonder.I'm not always perfect at spelling. So I take that into consideration.
Separated,Married,or the term complicated.(ask lots of questions!!!)
Widowed with small kids ask tons of questions, usually they will say they are over seas, military.
All pictures don't match their age bracket.
Income I personally don't look at because I don't think there is any truth, only maybe a few.
the biggest RED FLAG>>>>when it reads to good it's usually fake, and full of BS.

Someone that asks you out on a date in the very first message I find a little unnerving ... I would think you would want to know a little more about someone before agreeing to spend an evening with them
The 40-60 yo men searching for women 18- 30
The obvious - highschool education, age early 20's ,self employed, making over $100,000.....drug trafficking, human trafficking, pimping, racketeering, gambling, etc?

Yes maam Duchessa, multiple messages have come my way from various guys in their 20's with stated highschool education, proclaimed to be self-employed, and listing income as over $100K... I'm guessing there's either deception there, their "self-employed" business is one of those listed above, or I went I to the wrong damn career field! Lol

But were those e/mails sent to you or you found them while checking profiles?
I refuse to believe a guy could be so stupid as to said those things....In fact, self made people usually don't brag.

I'm usually too much of a Pollyanna type to recognize malevolent intent in people right away, male or female, in person or online. I tend to always give the benefit of the doubt and many passes before questioning anything. I know I'm certainly not perfect by any means. But I understand that kind of naivete is dangerous and Ive been warned about it by people much more streetwise than myself and it may be at least one reason why I dont go meeting men from online acquaintance situations. It just seems if a guy had really nefarious plans in mind, there would be other ways to go about capturing a woman that would leave less of or no electronic fingerprints behind.

I tend to not completely trust guys with the following in their profiles:
Says their an Engineer or Military
Race says Native American
High Income bracket
The perfect dreamy profile
They say they are contacting in a different country
Have just one picture
They tell a tragic story about why their a single parent
When the flow of the words and the grammar used doesn't match the profile.
When they are too enamoured with you in the first few messages
Oh, when they are too righteous
Oh and beware when it seems the person in their profile they are looking for is similar to you, with similar description, likes, whatever.
Somehow, and I think I've been right every time, I nail these guys and their fake profiles. but I was nailing scammer long before DHU.
I can tell when I look at it, then I respond to make sure I'm right. I am. It pisses me of every time that these guys may get ahold of some really gullible woman and really screw her up. Me, I just out them and I usually get a bevy of expletives.
Good Luck

Wow, I just reread my post and see that my iPad spell checker got me a few times, or i got myself. Plus, I was not punctuating correctly or something.
I'm really not that grammatically challenged, I was in a hurry to leave.
It's corrected, I think.

Yep, also one guy was as Asian as you can get, but he listed, Native American. Lol, then when i asked him, he said he was Mexican and Korean. Riiigghhht. It isn't the origin choice itself, it's the combo of that and the engineering job or a military man, making 75k, oh and the Masters degree. Then the sad, sad sob story about his wife dying in a wreck, or leaving him after cheating. He is a single dad of a child living with him, but the kid is staying with an aunt, or nanny. Next he is stationed in another country or has a contract he is working on, but will be coming home so he is looking for love when he gets here.
When it's all combined, omg, that is fakety fake fake fake. I guess you just have to know how to spot em. I've seen some real NA people on here, and they are what they say.

Yes I sometimes find that a little suspicious when people, male or female, are claiming to be degree holders and they are bordering on being functionally illiterate. They wouldn't have even been capable of passing college level general education courses.

Haha..that always makes me laugh duchessa. I just can't wrap my head around how stupid the fakes/liars are. They really expect women to think they have this doctorate degree. But when they message you and have no grammatical skills, up goes that big red flag. It's waving back and forth, I can't miss it.
To be fair, lots of guys on here are going through similar stuff. Lots of scandalous women out there (or men pretending to be women)

I get "those" from every single age group. Grrr. First they send a message filled with various compliments (my looks, my attitude, blah blah blah) & they include their number & how they would do ANYTHING just to meet me. (and this does not include the scammers with phone numbers & emails) The next message is filled with insults (my looks, my attitude blah blah blah) It usually ends with the typical "you're an ugly old hag". The best ones are from men older than me - calling me old. (the beer bellied, baseball hat idiots that look like they haven't showered since the late 80's!!!)
One idiot started with a number of inappropriate questions & when I didn't respond, he finished with telling me to join the ASPCA. lmao. He was too stupid to even insult me correctly! He was searching for AARP.
I really really hate "stupid"!
P.S. I'm 50 & my youngest was 18 - looking for a "teacher"! Seriously?

Well the attention from youngins can be flattering in some cases I guess so I dont complain overtly about it. Usually they are nice enough and just run along if I tell them they are too young or I'm not interested in the brief, internet romantic pairings on here. However men of all ages that do that resentful name calling thing after you have declined their advances is a bit silly. It reminds of the "Fox and Grapes" story from childhood. The fox wanted the grapes but hey were hanging on a high vine and he couldn't reach them so he walks away in a huff claiming that the grapes were probably sour anyway.
