playingindirt Eugene, OR 62, joined Mar. 2014	You will see and experience good microbrews, vintage barcades, new style barcades, many miles of hiking and biking trails, down to earth markets, great "swimming holes" within 20-30 mins away, u of o campus, eclectic food selection and nice friendly people. Basically what makes a city a city. Experiences may very lol I had my 33 year old son write that because he's more informed about the places people from out of town may be interested in seeing. personally I love the people here. everyone gets along with each other regardless of where they come from, what race or walk of life they're walking. wonderful people. I wish I was back in Salem....................

playingindirt Eugene, OR 62, joined Mar. 2014	I moved to eugene in 1986 from florida. any place you live is going to have things you may not like. the biggest majority of the people living here in eugene are courteous and friendly. most of the people that complain about eugene take it for granted. move to pittsburgh and see how friendly the city of brotherly love is. you'll get a rude awakening. try out some of the small towns in NW florida. you'll find out how blessed we are to be living here. eugene has a lot to offer. I love it here.

It's like people anywhere you go. there is going to be some bad apples in any class of people. but one of the beauties of this town is people here from all walks of life including the homeless generally exhibit respectable treatment toward each other. the attitude of the majority of people here in general is something harder to find in other places. there are always people here that don't let people walk on other people's rights. that's where people get involved. the rest of the time people don't give each other any trouble.
