I have yet to spot a skink in Minnesota--prairie or 5-lined. 6-lined Racerunner? Oh, it is but a dream to have a sighting of those speedy little things.

No. I do not speak of skanks or skunks. It is rather the fact that I speak of skinks.

I had to look it up. Apparently a skink is a fat little oddball lizard with short or no limbs that travels a bit like a snake. There are hudreds of species with various habitats - underground, trees, water, sand, etc.
Are they even indigenous to MN? Maybe there's a nature blog somewhere where people might actually recognize it and journal any sightings? Maybe you meant to type lizardhookup.com?
I don't know.

I had a 5-lined skink on my driveway. Was told it was very rare that they wonder off from their wooded areas. Let alone, they are a very rare lizard.

I have them in the rock walls that line the driveway. I only see them when the string trimmer flushes them out. They are quick!
