It's not too bad here today either, Trish. I did just what you did. I turned on the heat to get the cold air out of my apartment. I have hot flashes to keep me warm but my cat doesn't, lol. I can't get anything done if the cat is so cold that she is like Velcro on me.

I have been turning it on after I get up for over a week now.
That cold storm is coming in starting Wednesday with a high of 42, low of 32, Thursday and Friday the high will only get to 39.

Didn't turn the heat on all day yesterday and all night last night.
The high was 69 yesterday, with a low of 51.
Yesterday was the calm before the storm.
Had to turn the heat on this morning, was 61 in the house.

Heat turned up this evening to 68, down to 38 outside which is our low so far today.
I can't program my furnace as I am a very light sleeper and as soon as the furnace would came on during the night, I would be up, and be mad because I am trying to sleep. It will kick on every 10 minutes, so before I go to bed I turn it down to 60. This way I can get at least get a couple of hours of sleep.

Heat on again today but not all day, as I left for about 5 hours, so I turned the furnace down to 64. The sun was out for a couple of hours late in the morning.
Suppose to start getting warmer on Wednesday.

Sunday morning when I got up, the temp in the house was 66, because the temp outside was 59. Needless to say the furnace didn't come on.
But as the day wore on, it got colder so the furnace did come on several times.
We are in for cold temps until next Sunday with snow.

Cold cold cold.. been in the 20's here, prediction for much colder temps for
the next couple days. Warm and cozy, would love to have this for backup tho..

Very very cold here now...19 right now with an over night
temperature of 10, plus the wind is blowing like at 20 Mph.
Went down to the beach today and had to walk backwards to
my vehicle because the wind was blowing so hard off the
ocean I could not feel my face by the time I got back in my
truck. This Global Warming is killing me.

It's Sooooooooooo COLD!!!! Our day time high was -1*.. right now it's down to -7* and feels like -23*... BRRRRR!!!!
Schools are closing for tomorrow here in Wisconsin...But why they didn't have them closed this morning is beyond me...On my way to work I felt sorry for these kids waiting for the school bus...
More snow for tomorrow afternoon and evening...Then the temps drop even lower for Friday and Sat... -30 wind chills...
