If you only had $5 to plan the perfect date, how would you plan it? |

$5 usually would buy two coffees, if things go good go for a walk somewhere, which is free everywhere. Lol but I am new to the dating scene anyway, what do I know?

That sounds fun, a walk in the park along a river or lake

Winter picnic... buy some hot cocoa and a cheap meal or appetizer from the grocery store. Throw pillows and blankets down on the floor, light a bunch of candles, put on some music, and eat, chat, and just enjoy each others company. Of course, this may not be ideal for a first date... lol

I ask this question because I believe a perfect date shouldn't cost money as long as your with the one you love. That should be perfect enough.

FIRST I'd have to get a date. I suppose we could splurge on onion rings at Mickeys. Then watch a little tube and see what happens....

Stay in, cuddle up, and watch movies. Who needs an expensive meal?

In the summer it would be easy, a bike ride, concert at Lake Harriet, followed by an outdoor movie in the park, slip in a small popcorn and pop, bingo you have a complete night for about $5.
In the winter go see a movie at the Riverview.

Put the $5 bucks in the tank, cruise till we find a recycling bin full of returnables, take them back and use the money to buy a deal at a garage sale, then off to a consignment auction. Use the spoils to fill the tank to get us to a little mom + pop restaurant for some good homemade grub. Then just cruise around the rest of the day looking for trouble

Welcome back Jim, you obviously aren't from around here, lol. $5 of gas is maybe 2 gallons; recycle bins? ha; auctions, getting hard to find, same with mom and pop stores/restaurants.
I prefer the picnic idea out in the woods, many small parks around my area. Nice walk, see some wildlife, have a bite to eat.
Find the ideal spot for sunrise or sunset, sit back and enjoy.
If you have a motorcycle, then a ride along the back roads, $5 of gas will get you far.
Set up a traveling dinner amongst friends (his or hers), start at one house with appetizers, drive to the next for a main course, drive to another for desert, drive to another for games or entertainment.

How about we set up at a Steam Show? Spend the day talking to interesting from all over this country, and maybe even a few others. Then later we can build a fire and cook up some good homegrown food we raised ourselves, then ( here's the $5 part ) walk over and get 2 huge bowls of homemade ice cream, $2 each, and leave a dollar tip.

Aw Jim, you had to mention the Steam shows, don't forget the live music, at least the one I've been to has the local polka bands and entertainment besides all the exhibits and hands-on demonstrations, I'm still sorry I didn't go back after dark for the sparking.

Pasta, sauce, meatballs for dinner
Cuddling on couch & watching a Netflix movie / show.
Or
Taking a walk to a not so secret spot to feed the Swans by hand.
