Had a fer trapping license for many years in the 70's and early 80's and also ran them at night for fun and profit but to hard to get anyone to let you on their property with the price of deer leases these days, afraid the deer will leave. Love the new traps I got recently one marshmallow and you have them-no harm to them either

They're coons.

Even in the southern states.

Not sure why the LOL..... unless you are talking about the two legged ones.... Yes, Had it fried, coon burritos, and tacos, and in chile. Quit eating them a few years ago because we had so many cases of rabies in them in Florida. Possum is one of the few that I will never eat again...nothing but fat!!

No. I use egg and box traps. With all the snow it has not been hard to trap them.

I don't. I put marshmallows in the egg trap and I wire a can of cat food in the box trap. They have been eating the grain we feed the cows.
And my friend takes all of them. He makes a stew with them and saves there pelts.

They are certainly a nuisance here and in Georgia Johnny, they tear up the feeders and raise havoc on the quail nest as well as the turkeys. I ran traps for years while quail hunting with my bird dogs, sold mine whole but the processor sold both the hides and meat. Funny how the Russians like them and we buy their critters hides. Like they say the grass is always greener on the other side

Think maybe what I am calling them is the wrong thing, egg may be what I am using, nuisance trapper friend ordered a dozen for me online and I never saw the name...just how to peg the marshmallow on and how good they worked for me.

a good baying beagle hound works best. If he can't run with the big boys he needs to stay on the porch.
