How do u get over a loss of a dear loved pet?
By realizing that they are no longer sick and in pain, and knowing that you gave your fur baby all of your love, and the best care you could throughout it's life with you.

Thank you so much i love that poem just got my baby girl sadie urn n ashes monday its hard for me n my other dog misses her older sister she's been crying for her I feel so bad then I start crying all over again n I give my other dog hugs n kisses she lost her best friend n sister

Hugging and comforting your other dog will comfort you and help you both through the grieving process.
It's not easy getting over a cherished pet. I lost my white Australian Shepherd last March. That was such a hard loss. It broke my heart completely. He was deaf, and high risk for blindness because of bad breeding practices. We got him to rescue him, because I knew the implications of a double merle breeding and the problems a white Aussie pup can have. His early death was a result of that breeding.
He was a joy, and 6 years old is just too young for an Aussie to die.

I lost both of my cats exactly 70 days apart. You just have to remember that you
provided a good home for that pet! Remember all the love and good times you had
with them.

RAINBOW BRIDGE THAT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL POEM BUT IT IS TE BEST IT HAS NO NOWN AUTHOR I HAVE THE ORIGINAL- and I HAVE SUFFERED MANY LOSSES YOU NEED TO know what that lady said-they are no longer in pain, Home euthanasia has become mainstream finally no more steel tables I had the last ARF Catahoula B*tch on the planet and there was one male in TX when I lost her I got a border he turned into a border-burner 130 lbs I love big dogs anyway I also have a mix red healer aussie cattle dog mix who has the red markings like the CATAHOULAS I BRED FOR that specific color but you don't always get every one I had 16 then 13 6 mo later then 6 on a different male same mama-THE BEST FIX is to get another puppy! I got my COwboy dog on her Birthday Labor day like she approve him for me, I wasn't gonna take him at all-they PICK U not the other way around.

You never really get over the loss of a beloved pet. My cat Maggie is still in my heart and, I still cry for her. As time passes, some of the crying is replaced with gentle memories. I still have her little ashes by my bed.
So sorry for your loss.

My sympathy to you. I believe you need to go through the grieving process, just as you should do when losing a human you loved. I feel it is just as traumatic losing a 4 legged friend as it is a person. Grieve and then move on. You will always have memories. Stay strong as you can. Don't usually hug a stranger but Hugesssssssssssss to you.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Furry Friend.
It takes time to get over losing a pet no matter what happened that caused their death. But here is what I did.
I made a Castle Flower Garden. I called it CARMEL'S Castle. I put it over top of his Grave because he loved to play beside me in the garden.
You could do anything to memorialize your pet. you could sponsor a kennel at an animal shelter. you could donate time at the shelter and help another dog. anything that you want to do help you to relax so the other dog will relax too. and talk to your other dog about death of its buddy tell her it is ok and you love her/him. and you both will be ok. Dog's may not understand all words (they are more for you to get it out) but they understand feelings so cuddle her show her lots of love and affection. encourage play and walks etc. Share your memories.
