I thought it might be motivational and helpful if we maybe shared/bragged about what we did to keep ourselves fit and out of the doctors office..

Maybe offer a challenge to your friends. I dont know ...Just report what you did for yourself that was healthy...or any little healthy advise you care to share..

I'll start with a challenge.....Drink 3 full glasses of water today...I'm trying to do this because Ive noticed I'm always a little dehydrated...

I'd work out more if I had a friend to do it with. I just don't feel motivated to ride an exercise bike alone.

This was the first swim and the first shower there not thrilled at all with the shower..........no shower heads and water pressure was a drizzle that is fine for hair more thin than mine but I think there is still soap in my hair and I am grossed out!!!!!!!!

I'm actually rather lucky. Good genes I guess. I can pretty much eat whatever I want. Had to tone that down a bit once I entered my 40's. I can no longer process a cake and ice cream dinner into reliable fuel as efficiently as I could in my youth but thankfully, the hard physical labor involved with my work on an almost daily basis keeps me in reasonably fighting trim.

Not that I wanna fight anyone mind you...

Well okay. A few people but not many.

But then there's all the crappy drivers on the road who wait for me in traffic to piss me off and ruin my day. I can fight them can't I please? Can I huh? Can I huh? PLE-E-E-EASE?!?!?!?!?

Oh never mind. It'd be terrible for my street cred to get sent to the ER by a senior citizen lady with a knitting needle and combat boots...

Started working out again yesterday. It's been 8 months! Start with a trainer first of Febuary. I was going to start with the trainer next week but my cardio is poor. Need to get it back first. Only was able to do 11 minutes on the stair stepper.

Ok..got 2 large 32oz cups of water down...Its amazing how little water i will drink without making a real effort....Coffee and tea was my main source of fluids..

Dang, I gotta step my game up...A lady trainer asked if she could train me, one day last year...Needless to say, we still say hey when i go in but I honestly couldnt do it..So I go at my own pace and am taking baby steps.....and I am much stronger than a year ago...Ive increase weights and speed every 3 months...I personally see results and hopefully others will.

My problem is I get busy and only go 2 times a week instead of the 4 or 5....and I eat whatever the kids eat...Ex a Meatza instead of veggie delight...and healthy food is so much more expensive..

So today Im doing treadmill set at 3.5 for 30 minutes
100 weighted stomach crunches
and 3 sets of 75 lbs butterflies and few other arm machines
Eliptical for 10minutes
Row machine 15 minutes

That's good!!

Yesterday, I did the 11 minutes of the stair stepper, 3 sets of lunges across the gym and back with 8 pound weights in each hand. I did 75 upper abs and 75 lower abs. That's a very light work out for me, but it was all I could do. A trainer would kill me right now because of my cardio.

Wanda, my mom's got a heart condition so she is on a no fat, no Sault, no taste diet. She had to get inventive to continue to enjoy her favorite foods. Ultimately, she located a website called all recipes. Com (all one word). There are recipes for everything from appetizers to deserts. Best of all, it allows you to put new twists on old favorite foods.

...im glad you are back at it...it makes ya feel better.

Omg 11 minutes....I can't do them... yet...I did about 3 minutes at the lowest settings and my knees started hurting..plus i can't really do the stationary bikes with any resistance cause of knee pain.. If I get a little lighter then maybe.....VERY good restart Kim...Im impressed..

My row machine is only on 5 and eliptical is at 2.5 and Im moving at snails pace compared to many....but Im getting stronger..

And I stopped getting on the scale because it does have negative impact on your thinking. You gain muscle so weight goes up..and the fat comes off slower but is shrinking

I start with the upstairs treadmill so I can watch all the beautiful people lifting below...This dang hot chick had 4 more sets of weights on than I could handle doing butterflies....she was all of 5.5 130 lbs.... but i kept walking and people watching..

Be carefull with most trainers
Some seem to think if they make you so sore you can't move that's proof of the effectiveness of what they know as a trainer
IMO you should start out with much less than what it takes to exhaust your cardio and muscles
and gradually increase, moderation
In everything is a good rule of thumb,
You are literally tearing muscles to
Rebuild and recovery is naturally slower when we are less young ..

Build up gradually and you will reap the benefits ..

Wow..hope the legs are feeling better...

I had surgury on both my legs about 10 years ago... varicose veins.. The rollin type and after both pregnancies my legs hurt from them...I had injections to dry the rollin veins up...and to clean up spider veins....I will have to go back in a year or so...There are more starting to show.......but exercise helps my legs too..

I slacked on my running for the last 2 weeks. Monday we start back to 3 miles a day.

I have quit drinking mostly.

I am drinking coffee in the afternoons, to occupy my tastebuds tho.

Water water everywhere and I'm up to about 3/4 gallons a day:

I have lost an inch on my waist line in about 6 weeks.

My diet is that of a healthy preschooler. My exercise is being active and on my feet with all three jobs during tax season. I dance usually Friday, Saturday, and some Sunday nights. (I dance on the job at my street advertising during tax season. )

I am blessed with good genes from my mom. She has never been over weight. I have never been more than 5 or 10 # over weight.

My legs are basically toned. My arms are OK. My arms could use some toning.

I will be lifting boxes at the weekend retail job I have. Those will be my weights.

Wanda and Toni you go girls. Keep it up.

Squeeze a lemon or lime in room temp water and drink. That before you eat or drink anything in the morning

I find that taking my vitamins on a regular basis helps keep my system regular. Enough sleep helps. Deprivation of sleep equals overeating and anxiety/stress. Exercise on a regular basis. Not so much how long but consistency.

I try to use the exrcise room at
My office everyday. Only 30mnts but again consistency. Take a probiotic at lunch. Do sit ups. Arm exercices every nite at home with a
Medicine ball.

Keep it simple.

I got a Fit Bit. I do treadmill and walking and jogging to a minimum of 5 miles a day.

At the moment I have 6.31 miles for my 7 day running average and a little over 4.4 miles in for the day so far.

I joined World Gym and have a few people I know there to talk Wih and encourage each other.

This is my first time going in Georgia Chat but I have forum friends we share progress pics with and check up on each other.

I have not gotten any dates off DH but is has been good for workout accountability buddies.

And I got some wireless headphones. Those are awesome! No more cord to get tangled and they sound great!

Hello Waki 1

Nice to make your aquaintence.

I relate to feeling tired at the end of the day but pushing thru. It is quitting time and I really am not feeling it... But dragging my a** to the gym anyway. I'm working on legs mainly this month. It is easy to just concentrate on arms and chest. But Ya look funny with stick legs!
