and sometimes sex happens inadvertently as supposedly concensual between two adults, or at least that's the impression at that time....very early on in their beginning...as meer daters.
But then after it happens, the woman is carrying on like its now a full fledged relation with all the trimmings.
And when he gets to know her better, he decides she is not the one and moves on.
He is deemed as another player.
And op....there are enough men seeking a real relation....however that doesn't mean he will have it with just anyone he dates..
And, its up to you to have the fortitude to weed out the players vs. those that are more real.
Its called being....Strong and Independent..and for the record its hard for us all to find that right person.

I agree. Most of the men I've dated since my divorce have been one night dates, knew I didn't want to see them again after that. But since 2010 these are the men I've dated:
-a man who was "separated" and ended up finding out he was still very much married and living with his wife and kids.
-a man who had been through tons of bad relationships and made sure he talked about all those horrible evil women to me all the time and he tried to kill himself 6 times while dating him if I didn't give him the attention he needed, smoked weed, didn't work and his mom paid his bills, he ignored texts from me on purpose to get a rise out of me when I wondered why he was ignoring me, then later said I played head games with HIM, cheated on me in the end and when I found out he called cops and said I was harassing him solely because I called his cell phone and told him I knew he was seeing someone else. He tried to take me to court on that one and I proved we had sex a few days before that through an email exchange we had. Biggest game player and moron I think I will ever meet in my life!
There are more but I don't want to drag my response out.

Of course, one might want to keep in mind, that those of us who are here and available, are here and available for a reason. If we were perfect and wonderful, the only reason you'd come across us single, is because our mate recently died. And then you'd be wise to investigate why they did.
It may sound like a negative way to look at things, but it really isn't: everyone is second rate, at best. Less than perfect. And no one magically becomes wise, caring, and rational just because they survived past the age of 25. Adulthood is an illusion, in that sense.
But bottom line, the reason YOU are asking why it's hard to find a good mate, is the same reason why what you have to select from isn't all that enticing: none of us who are available, are so because we are just tooo fab.

Many ppl are struggling right now whether by events beyond their control or through their own choices. I've chatted with some who disclosed their situation upfront and I appreciate that since it avoids wasting extra time. Many on here have DUIs, no job, are deadbeat parents or just got out of jail/prison. No one's perfect but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking that on.

There are so many people male and female that are struggling with so many different issues. There are people battling mental illness and depression. The recession and unemployment have really affected a lot of people. So many relationships break up and there are a lot of people grieving. Life is tough. Don't give up someone who has their act together will find you. Never ever give up hope.
