Jose, Hyde has super running back written all over him if he can stay healthy. The 49ers must feel that he is ready or they would not be parting ways with Gore. I think I'm going to have to take a crash course in who plays for who before next season starts with so much going on this offseason.
True, Tommy. And it's not over yet.

Jose, You're right, there are still quite a few good free agents out there looking for a home in what has become a big business.
Now, tell me this ain't so:
SF 49er all pros Patrick Willis and Justin Smith are both planning to retire while both are still playing at a pretty high level.
What are some of these NFL rosters going to look like when pre-season begins?

Yeah, I was surprised to hear about Willis retiring cause he still has some years left in him, Tommy. Justin Smith not so much cause I believe he's turning 37 next season. Hopefully Navorro Bowman and newly signed DL Darnell Dockett make full recoveries to lessen the blow.

I don't know that Kap has much guaranteed Sorp. I heard his contract was heavily incentive-based.

Lol. They didn't read what the guarantee was for, Sorp. Google Kaepernick's contract. He made about 13 million the first yr. which includes a big signing bonus, but it goes down from there unless he makes all-pro or the SB to get a fraction of the guarantee those years that he does. And the team can release him any year without penalty.
Zig busts chops because he's pissed his defense can't stop a below-average QB. Lol.

Jose, It appears that Kelly's aggressive tactics with player personnel with the Eagles scared Gore away so he is now signing with the Colts. I guess there will be a new website called "Who Plays For Who" coming to a theater near us soon.

Yeah, Tommy. Kelly needs young guys for his hard Saturday practices and his uptempo offense, not aging guys. Plus Indy's HC and OC I believe were Gore's coaches in college, so they'll utilize him in a power running game there in Indy.
Saints TE Jimmy Graham is being traded to the Seahawks for their Center and a 1st rounder.

We are hours away from the start of the 2015 league year and the Giants are finally in the game.
The lack of activity prior to Tuesday had some Giants fans getting antsy, especially with their NFC East rival Eagles not hesitating to throw money around early. But the free agent floodgates don't officially open up until 4 p.m. on Tuesday and the Giants have kept the lines of communication open with free agents, as well as a few of their own guys they hope to re-sign.
Here's what we're hearing so far (we'll update as the day goes on):
• Another linebacker: The Giants appear set on revamping their depth at linebacker. After signing Jonathan Casillas from the Patriots they have reportedly agreed to a three-year contract with Jaguars linebacker J.T. Thomas. Thomas played mostly middle linebacker for Jacksonville.
• O-line depth: The Giants have signed offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse to a 2-year contract, a source confirmed with NJ Advance Media. Newhouse was mostly a backup with the Bengals, but started for two seasons for the Packers.
• A new return man: The Giants have inked former Cowboys wide receiver/kick returner Dwayne Harris to a five-year contract worth $17.5 million with $7.1 million guaranteed. Harris fills a glaring special teams void for the Giants over the last few years as a return man. He has two career kickoff returns for a touchdown.
• Rolle visits Chicago: The Giants might have to act quickly if they truly are interested in bringing back Antrel Rolle. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rolle has scheduled a visit with the Chicago Bears. The Bears were one of the teams I suggested would be interested in Rolle.
• Giants sign Casillas: The Giants have signed linebacker Jonathan Casillas to a 3-year $10.5 million contract, a source confirmed to NJ Advance Media. Casillas will likely be in the mix to start alongside Jon Beason and Jameel McClain at outside linebacker.
• Giants still in on Parker: The #Giants are still involved in discussions with Chiefs' safety Ron Parker, according to Jordan Raanan, though they have competition:

Sorp, I think the Eagles will be either great or terrible with no in between with all of the roster moves they have made and continue to make. To answer your question, Foles is very happy to get out of Philadelphia and even though he is injury prone Bradford is always injured. I haven't looked up how many but Bradford has started very few games as an NFL QB and most of his injuries were season ending injuries that happened early in the season. I don't think the Eagles are better off with Bradford for these reasons and on top of that Kelly keeps saying the Eagles will do everything they can to get Mariota. Regardless of what happens to the Eagles I still think the Cowboys will win the NFC East.

First off they also still have sanchez ...so who will start...bradford has the college resume vs sanchez was the QB last season out from reserve..i dont think they want mariota unless they plan to trade sanchez or bradford if both have a good camp.,
They can say anything about Eii but Eli has two rings and backs this season to win with...an offensive lineman can help in draft along with a def back...if they get a def lineman it's because he may be a pure athlete and best pick avsilable...that's what they thought of JPP before his back injury abd once you hurt the back it hurts forever...

I don't think they accepted Bradford's big contract so he can sit on the bench. Shows how much Kelly must like him, when he's an injury case. Doesn't make sense as trade bait to me either when all know he's injury prone. Big gamble by Kelly.

Disappointed at losing him but can't be mad at him for looking after his health. LB's are involved in so many head-jarring tackles. I probably wouldn't want to continue playing after my late 20's because of that.

Low, some of these retired NFL players might disagree with you because many of them are still young with severe health problems they will have to live with for the rest of their life.
Jim Clack, who has four super bowl rings and snapped the ball to Terry Bradshaw during the Steeler's glory years is a very good friend of mine. It takes him at least 30 minutes to get out of bed every morning because of the pounding his body took in the NFL. I often go get his groceries for him and put them up just so he won't have to.

So what if you are smart you should be able to take the money you earned while playing and make it last the rest of your life.... Maybe even generations depending on how much you make... People working in those other professions would love to earn what a NFL player earns in 1 season...

So they deserve to file law suits ...the risk is greater with faster and stronger players today where velocity is greater...low did you take physics. ..i dont meant a laxative or a physical...Fuhgeddabouit
The risk is the same the game of football has always been violent.. The game was actually alot more dangerous back in the day that it is today Sorp... Just because guys today are bigger and faster dose not mean it is more violent players today are protected alot better on the field than they were in the late 1800's...

But today's player stronger and quicker is progression while the helmet has not gotten more protective is my point low...head injuries increase with my more acceleration. .drop a penny off the empire state building it can penetrate through a human if struck by one...now picture a stronger athlete, quicker hitting another loco motor with same power..Fuhgeddabouit

So for the 2015 season they will not black out games if the game is not sold out... Wonder if this will be for just 1 season or always going forward..
Where is AP gonna end up..

Sounds too good to be true as a permanent change, low. I think they'll analyze how much it affects attendance and re-evaluate after the season.
AP is going to the Bengals

Yeah some fans because of technology and big screen tv's would just rather watch the game at home and save money...... And not to be around annoying drunks They could have used that in Cincy during the 90's because there was a ton of blackouts They were talking on the radio the other day about would it be worth it to get AP for a second round draft pick... I would be happy to see Who Dey give that up for AP.
