In a perfect world, people would be more like animals. Animals don't judge by appearance, but they know almost instantly if someone is an a**hole. Dogs and cats love me; women recoil from me.
I have a hard time believing anyone who says they don't care about looks. I believe most women know from a main pic if they'll even bother to read a message or check out a profile. And it must be my face, because I've changed everything else about myself in the last four-plus years, and I'm still a piece of shit who could only get an attractive woman to have anything to do with me through guilt and pity.
I'm guilty, too. I got tired of coming up with nice-but-bullshit reasons, nay- excuses, for not being interested, because I just don't find those open sores from diabetes sexy.
Does it suck? Yeah. Is it fair? Probably not. But it's the way it is. Let's not try to bullshit each other.
I get the looks as well. You know the ones where actions speak louder then words.
I have women actually pull their child closer to them when the kid tried to say hi to me. But before she noticed her kid making funny faces with me she wasn't even paying them no mind.
Kids and Animals have a 6th sense that we loose as we go thru life. I think we loose it because we start to place walls up to not get burned again. JMO 
As far as animals go i would be like George Clooney with the ladies. Shit my best friends pit bull gets that glazed over look in his eyes everytime i go over. Thats when i know the dog has Luther Vandross singing in his ear and he starts slowly walking over. We have to put him outside for awhile to calm down. This is a dog who hates males but has tried to court me on many occasions. TFS

I speak from my own personal experiences in life. I used to have women throwing phone numbers in my car when i was younger and better looking. But i also wholesaled cars for a living at dealer auctions and was driving Mercedes, BMW's, Maserate's, Corvette's, Ferrari's and even a couple Lambourghini's. So was it ilooks or the thought i had money because i drove a different exotic car each week?

I didn't even say people who drive exotics treated me different (which they did)
Society as a whole is based on appearances and keeping up with the Jones' or Kardashian's.
It's simple to see for yourself even. Drive a $1000 car to Island Grill and have Valet park it. Watch the looks you get before you even get out of car. Then on a different weekend drive the Mercedes and see the difference.
The world we live in now is about Label's and Appearances plain and simple.

If we are local then i'm sure we both know somewhere that we could meet. Even just to speak for a few minutes while doing errands. It's not rocket science it's just getting a vibe for the other to see if you are even interested.
I have met a few from this site and others. Some, I talked to for months before meeting. Others I met the 2nd day we were talking. It all depended on the vibe I got from them and my schedule. It's not that making the time for that 15 minutes is impossible. It's that I have a home life as well that does come first. Also, I don't want to have to limit myself to a set time limit. I prefer to wait until I have at least an hour to be able to spend interacting with someone in person. With that being said, I currently have no desire or plans on meeting anyone in the near future. I have baggage to sort through first.

Lou: I think your profile is good. A bit long but an interesting read.
One thing bothers me (that probably wouldn't bother anyone else in the world) and that is that you use a comma and "and" at the same time.
It's one or the other.
