I had 2 local dates on this site and they were insane.
The downfall is the certain person I really like is long distance and she ain't interested in starting out in a long distance relationship. 
But it is what it is.
Sometimes you got to branch out these days to find the right person because let's face it..these people aren't in our back yard anymore.

Yes I have found someone on here, he's a dream come true and I turn alot of men down cause they wasn't on nothing and he prove to me, there are good men on here and he's long distancewe will be meeting soon, so anything possible

I met a guy on hereand we had everything what we're going to do and something happened he don't wanna see me no more but he will call that's what he said and I hope he does and we can start our friendship over again

It is easy to let the thoughts & feelings of not finding love
..... warp our thinking of online dating...
There are some very cool people on this site....
(I have been lucky enough to meet some in person)...
You should free your mind to ALL the possibilities

Have you tried POF(plenty of fish)?
I've met more local people from that site..found love..but his job took him to far away...it does work....Just be patient...but put yourself out there...Good Luck...

I have met some great people,98% were sweet people,and I'd say gentleman.We all met a few that have expectations to high.Then you keep your meet very short,but sincere with the meet.
Even the one's you have no interest in as dating can still be nice people.Screen who you meet carefully.
I don't think anyone's that desperate.
Meeting is just that not a date.Go dutch treat.

I have been on several sites both pay and free and have had many dates from both types. You need good photos a good profile and meet without great expectations. Have fun and keep all options open.

Yes!
I have found love here.
I won't go into details.
But one is a dream and unobtainable and the other is a reality..but yes I've been here a year..and my days are limited here..but my love goes 2 ways..there's friendship love and romantic love..and yes..you can love without actually meeting first if you spend countless hours talking and spending thousands of hours with someone..that way when you actually meet...you fell in love with the person above all and not the sex part...knowing and loving someone before meeting is a new concept for me and it's like doing it backwards..but I find it makes better sense.
You crossed the most important part of the bridge first...that way when you actually meet there is no awkward moments..you already know eachother and everything about eachother...which makes for even way better sex when the time does come..may not work for everyone. .and this is a first for me being 44 and grew up meeting people in clubs and in person first.
And as you see..those methods didn't work cuz here we all are all single..the new age and Internet has actually gave us the ability to reach out long distance to find special people who aren't in our towns and backyards.
Because there is someone out there for everyone of us in this giant world...ya gotta hang in there and go for it.
When you do find that special person..there can be no excuse not to relocate and be together forever..if you both want it..you both can make it happen...and that's just my opinion.

yes people can find love going thru a dating site, works best if you search in your local area, i have been off and on this site for years, i have dated a couple, one longterm for about three years but it stalemated, and we decied to just be friends, so not sure if at my age i will find someone to finish the rest of my life with, but there are so many possibilites, anything could happen, first rule, be honest
