Trump is not my first choice, Ted Cruz is. I think a Cruz - West ticket would be incredible. What I do love about Trump is, is that Karl Rove and the establishment are completely impotent against derailing him. The more they attack, the higher his ratings go.

Hodag, have you moved to Alaska? or visiting? Either way I'm jealous. I have been saying for ten years, I hope I live long enough to atleast see it, I might not come back. Halibut, salmon, moose a place where a man can be a man.

sureshot: You had better get there fast, unbelievable how it has changed in just the ten summers I have spent up there! Commercial fishing and guides run the commission and the fish are vanishing rapidly with early closures on many fish and stricter limits on others. The famous gigantic King Salmon are vanishing from the Kenai at a rapid pace and you are limited to one decent and one baby halibut on the charters now. Only place where you are guilty until proven innocent in the courts and the fishing laws change daily with the "emergency" orders that are not working. (The shows you see on Alaska are very similar to Mary Poppins)

OT: Have not voted in the last two pres elections because of who the Republicans ran, but will certainly vote if Trump is the nominee! (Voted in every other election since I could vote)

I do watch all the shows from Alaska and know its not exactly as they show. I have noticed the new changes in the fishing and hunting regulations.

I have gotten drunk, held my nose and closed my eyes to vote in the last two presidential election but I won't do it again. If the nominee is another rino/establishment I will just get drunk and piss on them.

Anyone that votes for a person on one issue is crazy but I stand with Trump all the way on this issue.

Semper Fi !!!

Being given literally zero time to discuss his position on the issue of gun rights, front-runner Donald J. Trump released an official statement pertaining to the matter directly on to his campaign website. Let me tell you, Michael Bloomberg and his ‘Everytown’ ilk are not going to like this one bit…

The opening statement reads “The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period.”

Yes… He added “Period” after a period with another period, making it clear that he believes the people have the right to keep and bear arms under the constitution, end of story. Ok, I dig that… Moving on.

Trump’s statement immediately addresses liberal arguments on gun control by explaining that the right to bear arms is an essential part of self-defense.

“The Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that belongs to all law-abiding Americans. The Constitution doesn’t create that right – it ensures that the government can’t take it away…. the Second Amendment’s purpose is to guarantee our right to defend ourselves and our families. This is about self-defense, plain and simple.

It’s been said that the Second Amendment is America’s first freedom. That’s because the Right to Keep and Bear Arms protects all our other rights… Protecting that freedom is imperative.”
Oh, it gets far better…

Going on to attack gun-control efforts by the Obama administration along with a list of catastrophic gun-control failures around the nation that have done absolutely nothing but harm law-abiding citizens, Trump states it is time to get serious about prosecuting criminals.

The Obama administration’s record on that is abysmal. Violent crime in cities like Baltimore, Chicago and many others is out of control. Drug dealers and gang members are given a slap on the wrist and turned loose on the street. This needs to stop.

Why does that matter to law-abiding gun owners? Because they’re the ones who anti-gun politicians and the media blame when criminals misuse guns.

Here’s another important way to fight crime – empower law-abiding gun owners to defend themselves. Law enforcement is great… but they can’t be everywhere all of the time. Our personal protection is ultimately up to us. That’s why I’m a gun owner, that’s why I have a concealed carry permit, and that’s why tens of millions of Americans have concealed carry permits as well. It’s just common sense. To make America great again, we’re going to go after criminals and put the law back on the side of the law-abiding.
Trump goes on to cover the nation’s broke mental health system, explaining that “all of the tragic mass murders that occurred in the past several years have something in common – there were red flags that were ignored.”

Trump covered the “total failure” of gun and magazine bans while attacking gun-grabber efforts to strike fear in the minds of the general public by using “scary” terms such as “assault weapons”, “military-style weapons” and “high capacity magazines.”

The policy calls for an end to efforts to strip rights to own such magazines and firearms.

In probably one of the most important parts of the policy, Trump calls for a National Conceal Carry program to function like a driver’s license. While we believe the 2nd Amendment serves as a carry permit and other permits should not be required, Trump’s stance is a huge step in the right direction.

NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRY. The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.

Trump is not my first choice, Ted Cruz is. And with all the other excellent candidates we have like Jindhal, Walker, Paul, Carson, Fiorina,... there is no reason to settle for any establishment candidate like Bush or Crispy.

The thing I like best about Trump? He is driving the establishment nuts! The more they attack, the better his polls look!

ZERO political experience, even the commie Obama had more. He's too thin skinned, mainstream Reps don't like him and I wonder if he could work with anyone considering the entire universe can't contain his ego, but I guess he's the best we have right now. Hope he picks someone with some governmental experience.

If Cruz has another good debate he very likely could top the polls, especially if he gets into it with Rubio or Bush. Because I believe the conservatives are mad at libs and establishment republicans.

I'm not a Trump fan, except for a couple things. He's a manager. He knows how to get the proper folks for the job. Obviously, he can sell his ideas well. He know how to communicate, and motivate. Cruz, and Rubio are also good choices. The one I'd love to see run and isn't (Yet) is Paul Ryan. He wants to get the House moving, and I do believe he will.

Hi Clarity it's been a while since we have seen you here and by all means welcome back.
Homework?? You bet and then do it all again.Back in 07 I tried to warn everybody about obama but nobody listened. Now look at the mess things are in because of him and his agenda.
I've looked at Cruz every way I can think of and of the entire field he is my top choice.I still cant help but think about Trump and all the money he handed to several on the liberal left over the years. With that being said "IF" Trump get the GOP nod I will support him but as of right now Cruz in my man.I did some research about Cruz being eligible to run for president and the supreme court has not made a firm decisions one way or the other but I know either one Rubio or Cruz are at very least as eligible as obama.

This is from Sarah Palin. As usual she makes perfect sense.

Semper Fi !!!

Hey, Media, Try Again To Take Down Trump (and Cruz for Understanding the Trump Context)

Herd mentality running rampant with hypocritical and/or naive pundits trying to crush Donald Trump because he’s committed to clobbering the bad guys, and putting the good guys first. Trump’s temporary ban proposal is in the context of doing all we can to force the Feds to acknowledge their lack of strategy to deal with terrorism.

I said it back in 2009 and got beat up by the Left but understood by the commonsense Right, and I’ll say it again: if it saves innocent lives, “profile away!” When information shows someone comes to America after being in a radical Islamic stronghold, and embraces the Death Cult’s ideology that mandates butchering the innocent – then we are right in calling for shucking the political correctness that is fundamentally transforming America, and finally putting the security of innocent Americans FIRST. Slow this down via Fed intervention (it’s the Federal Government’s first and foremost job – national security!) until and unless we have a plan in place to sufficiently vet, AND to utterly and completely destroy the terrorists. (Note to President: start with letting our United States Military, the greatest and most ethical military power on earth, do its job.)

The Feds are talking the talk, saying the same thing I said in ’09 with their “If you see something, say something!” profiling directive. The Feds have always banned whomever they choose from entering the U.S., they have the ability, we’ve given them the right, and they have a track record proving it. Trump’s idea isn’t new. (President Carter banned Iranians, rounded up Iranian students, “profiled” and targeted a populace based on religious ideology in 1979-1980, and was PRAISED by the Left.)

“Because the feds have said repeatedly that they don’t profile. But you certainly can. And hey, that gives them cover: We were just checking out a report of suspicious activity, Mohammad.”

They have no plan to reform our flawed immigration vetting process. They cannot even utter the term Islamic Fundamentalism. They will not declare war on ISIS. While the media twists and turns words, conservatives who propose action to combat the real threat facing America are demonized while the namby-pamby milquetoast politicians get a pass to go along their unaccountable merry way.

A broken system allowed terrorists to come to our home and slaughter Americans. A bold, non-politician candidate calls for a pause in this flawed bureaucratic program so it can be fixed, to make sure it doesn’t happen again. That’s commonsense, which is why the media and spineless pundits attack it.

A private university President in Virginia encourages students to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms to defend themselves and their fellow man against terrorists. That’s commonsense, which is why his courageous, wise advice is now attacked.

Come together, America, to focus on proactive solutions to protect our children from terrorism, after 7 years of neglect.

Ignore the White House as it spews talking point rhetoric accusing Trump (thus suggesting all who question their wrongheadedness) of being “unamerican.” Yet it is their leader declaring his need to “fundamentally transform America” because he so wrongly sees our exceptional nation’s foundation as fatally flawed. Now THAT is unamerican.

- Sarah Palin

I saw an interview this morning- Joe Scarborough was interviewing Ted Cruz. (And I hate Joe Scarborough, but he at least seems to be fair, right now) Cruz pointed out that most of the really bad leaders in the Middle East, were actually working with the USA. As screwy as it may seem, rulers like Hussein and Gaddafi were working with us. Yeah, their human rights policies sucked, but at least we were getting workable agreements out of them. Now, I'm beginning to like Ted Cruz, because he knew that. I'm going to look into some of his other policies.

Republicans talk the talk but are a bunch of gutless chickenshits with all the balls of a baby girl when it comes to action.

Trump talks the talk and he's cocky enough to try to bring it about. He doesn't care who he offends and I think people are reacting positively to it. Here's a guy who will actually do what he says or try to. Republicans just want to be liked and that's not going to happen. At least we got rid of Boehner. Another baby girl too weak too act but very brave when he talks. I think Ryan will try to accomplish something, but he won't get far with an anti-American Kenyan communist as president.

I wonder if he'll extend his term by executive order and have the Supreme Court back him up on it?

Cruz and Rubio are eligible. Can't remember specifically what it is, but under the Constitution, they are both technically eligible. To the best of my memory, Cruz, who was born in Canada, both of his parents were American Citizens at the time of his birth, and his father was in service to the United States, under military orders. Under those circumstances, Cruz is eligible. Sorry, I don't remember Rubio's situation. But I wouldn't vote for Rubio anyway. Rubio is establishment. I'm a Cruz supporter.

I personally believe this pos will try it. I expect him to impose martial law, which will suspend the elections. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect to see our country in complete political/social/economic breakdown. I believe this will happen mid to late summer. This could get very bad. Those of us who are preparing for this scenario will be in battle with anyone,...anyone, who has not prepared. I cannot confirm this, but I was told that at a speech in Indiana a week or two ago he "slipped" and made a remark that he "would still be around in 2016." I cannot, under any situation, see obama voluntarily giving up his position of power. I also believe this possibility is responsible, at least in part, for the explosive increase in the sale of firearms.

I've talked to quite a few people. People who seem to be educated, stable and well informed. Virtually all of them, to one degree or another, believe the same thing. We may disagree on minor details, and we all have different ideas on how various situations may play out, but overall, we all believe we are in for some very bad times. I know a lady who works at Cabela's. She told me that in addition to firearms, camping equipment is flying off the shelves. Things like camp stoves, rope, cookware, freeze dried food, first aid kits, propane bottles, knives. I don't think that is because people suddenly developed a love of the outdoors. I think there is something deeper. People are getting nervous.

I think Trump is making a big mistake by badmouthing Ted Cruz.It will be interesting to see haw Cruz and Trump fare against each other in tonight's debate.I think Cruz will walk away the big winner.

Semper Fi !!!

Donald Trump, the national GOP presidential front-runner, is following the script of Democrats and establishment Republicans in his criticism of new Iowa front-runner Sen. Ted Cruz, says conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh said Monday on his syndicated radio show that Cruz has masterfully handled Trump simply by not publicly criticizing him as other candidates have – often to their own detriment.

But Trump, Limbaugh said, has fallen into Cruz’s Mr. Nice Guy trap and has acted exactly like the establishment by questioning Cruz’s temperament.

“I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment,” Trump said Sunday on ”Fox News Sunday.” ”You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate where he goes in there like a … you know, frankly, like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never gonna get things done that way. You can’t walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people.”

Not only does Trump act exactly like GOP insiders or the Democratic Party in making the statement, it also describes the way Trump deals with people he disagrees with, Limbaugh said.

“I mean, he’s been calling them stupid, he’s been calling them incompetent, he’s been saying you can’t get anything done with these people,” he said.

Saying Cruz is not able to work with others is a “rote criticism” of him, Limbaugh added.

“This is almost, you know, if you have to go to a playbook or a manual and say, ‘OK, time to criticize Ted Cruz. What do we say? What do we say?’ ‘Well, the manual says, “Go after him for not being able to work together in the Senate,’” and so forth and so on.’”

“My only point is for somebody running for the Republican nomination who has set himself up as anti-establishment, to join the establishment in that kind of criticism of Cruz, I don’t get it,” Limbaugh said.

I've been a Cruz supporter since day 1, and I contribute to his campaign on a monthly basis. I have never had any regrets. My biggest fear is that Donald Trump will pull a Ross Perot, splitting the vote and handing the election to the Queen of Benghazi. Next November, we must ALL vote for who ever our candidate is, even if we have to hold our nose to do so. Of course, this presumes obama will not institute Martial Law, suspending the elections. I personally believe that is a very real possibility.

I too think Trump is wrong to attack Cruz. Trump has gotten where he is by attacking the establishments but Cruz is no establishment. Will have to wait and see who wins the debate, I bet Cruz and Trump both get attacked by the establishment and hope they don't fight with each other.

I don't think that will happen. I believe Cruz is too smart for that. If Cruz is attacked, he will use humor to deflect the assault, like Ronald Reagan always did.

Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything. Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists, so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth , why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you're a good old boy, you've got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win.

But Trump doesn't play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump. Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama's birth certificate. He questioned Obama's college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, he's doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. He's questioning our relationship with Mexico; he's questioning why the border is wide open; he's questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he's questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he's questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he's questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.

Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question! I'm certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion. Trump will ask if Obamacare's architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obama's widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama's college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election. How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election?

Obama, the multinational corporations and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control. If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trump's election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked books and Obama's records, the game is over. The jig is up. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison.

Obamacare will be de-funded and dismantled. Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters. Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. That's why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump.

Yes, it's become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can't silence him. And they sure can't intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he's the one telling the truth.

Thank you for another incredible post, Clarity.

A while back, in this group, someone, Tileman maybe, started a thread about all the people who have "mysteriously" died that have in one way or another been connected to the Clinton's. In my mind, I could recall maybe 15 or 20 such cases. Later in the thread, Mike put up a list. The names of people who had been killed or died under mysterious circumstances. As I recall, that list included slightly more than 100 names. Anyone who has read what you just posted and may think it's conspiratorial or "Black Helicopter" stuff seriously needs to reconsider their position.

Neither Trump or Cruz took the bait CNN was throwing out to get a fight started. They both worked the establishments over, especially Rubio and Bush.

You noticed that too, eh?

The mainstream media will do anything to cause a rift. And look who they were focused on! Like you said, Trump and Cruz. The two front runners. Gee, imagine that!

Real Clear Politics says that arrogant SOB would win the nomination easily but that he couldn't beat Hillary. It says Cruz could beat Hillary, but that he can't win the nomination. Looks like we're stuck with another loser.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see these two team up after the primary's

Semper Fi !!!

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Monday that the 2016 GOP nomination contest is likely to come down to a one-on-one battle between himself and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

“Ultimately, it’s probably going to come down to me against him,” Mr. Trump said on NBC’s “Today” program. “I have a very, very big lead right now. You know I like to win, and you know I win. Let’s see what happens.”

Mr. Trump had been asked whether there was any sort of deal with Mr. Cruz where the two candidates would avoid criticizing one another. Mr. Trump said there was not a deal, that the two “just get along” and that Mr. Cruz has backed him on issues like illegal immigration.

“Ultimately, I’m sure [the] peace will end, because at some point we’re going to have to go after each other,” Mr. Trump said.

In a new trio of early state polls, Mr. Cruz has a 9 point advantage over Mr. Trump in Iowa, while Mr. Trump has an 18-point lead over Mr. Cruz in New Hampshire and a 15-point lead over Mr. Cruz in South Carolina.

To my thinking, Trey Gowdy has totally unveiled him self now as a full fleged republican progressive Rino His Benghazi hearings did nothing and now he is campaigning for Rubio I'm sure this is the RNC owners orders to attack Trump & Cruz.
