As a professional African American male, I didn't post a photo because of the nature of my work. Am I being overlooked because of my race or because I didn't post a photo. I notice that I'm not alone, there are others that didn't post a photo for whatever reason. Am I the only one with this problem. If I'm contacted I wouldn't have a problem explaining my line of work and how I could provide photos.

A lack of a photo is a major problem as is your cliched slightly lame blurb. Your race will hold you back only if you make it an issue.

Same as above plus age range skewed way to the low end and your interest "cuddling wink" That comes off real bad. But the worst is the lack of a photo. One way around that is to send a photo with your initial contact message. With what you have now, even with a nice photo your response rate will be about 5% with a good message.

No photo is just weird in my opinion. This is a dating website. Fill out your profile and add a few photos. Not into playing mystery games.
Few times I hear the excuse that someone cant add their photo because of their job. Personally, I just view it as a red flag.
Adding a photo to your message to the ladies could work sometimes? But dating websites clearly say do NOT open photos from someone you do not know and trust. ITDs.
If you truly cant add a photo then be polite and respect the ladies option to say no. Too many times I get Rude responses because I politely say no thank you.

This site doesn't have that many people that participate in the forums. In that respect it's little different than a personals ad in your local free magazine.
One thing you'll note if you do a search. Many of these profiles have never posted. Many of the ones that have posted stopped years ago, yet they still come up in a search.
If every profile was time stamped as to when completed and when last on site it would help weed through the mess.
Do you wish to take time attempting to contact someone that hasn't been to this site in a couple of months or years?
Even if you could clear that hurdle there's few people in the more rural areas. Coming to grips w/reality a certain percentage of them aren't real/scammers or aren't truthful, using a pic from 15 yrs ago or a pic of a friend, friend of their daughter or whatever.
If you could render the pool, to just honest to gawd sincere individuals that enjoy the notion of a meet n greet, there's still the issues of economics/religion/politics/age difference/children/height/weight/likes/deal breakers, yada, yada yada.
You have a better chance of finding the one than being hit by a bolt of lightening.
Unless on a golf course in Florida waving a 2 iron during a thunderstorm.
YMMV. Though w/o doubt recent pictures in focus from various angles at least as close as a police line-up would help draw more attention.
Not necessarily the attention you seek, but perhaps so.

What does being a professional have to do with finding a woman, date and or partner? Op are you saying professionals don't need love, compassion or sex in their life?
As a professional you know you need to market yourself and visual is the first way. If your not willing to post your picture and instead hide in the shadows sending private pictures you are going to have a tough time. Women immediate think those men are married or taken....hiding due to a wedding band instead of a job. Jobs don't recommend not dating or not using a dating site. Jobs don't control your personal relationships. Contracts control those....marriage certificates and military contracts.
Please feel free to continue on with your foolery here....its normal male behavior.
