It's Game 7, you can have anyone on the mound to start, whether it's a HOFer or one year out of a career. To whom do you give the ball?

Difficult choice? Take three.

Too many great ones to name just three but when Randy Johnson brought his A game he was unhittable.

He hasn't retired yet, but lately, Madison Bumgarner. The guy rises to the occasion in the playoffs.

Jose, You got that right, Bumgarner is definitely a big game pitcher and deadly against my Cardinals when they have had to face him in the playoffs.

I've heard a lot of older guys rant about Feller and Spahn. Wish I could have seen these guys pitch.

Randy Johnson had 19 walks in his career. I wonder if that would possibly upset an opposing manager if one of his pitchers, um, threw ball 4 to Randy Johnson?

My ol man wasn't interested in baseball til Feller came around. He made people remember they had a baseball club.

What about Johan Santana in his prime before he took up permanent residence on the DL?

Early Wynn was under rated. He'd have won 400 games if he'd pitched for the Yankees instead of the Senators and if there'd been no WW II for him to fight in.

If you want to talk about WW II, which took away the prime of his career, the greatest player who ever lived would probably have gone by the name of Ted Williams.

I know, your thread is about pitchers but the greatest player ever might have been Ted.

If he played for Yanks and in YS...my dad's favorite hitter ever...the suppose trade of Williams for Joe D woulda benefit both players if it was about stats and nothing else/ I guess they sobered up quickly...but Ted once said if he had Rizzuto at short stop in Boston the Red Sox coulda won a championship or two when he played... I could not visualize Ruth in today's game physically but what do I know I'm just the sorp...Fuhgeddabouit
