I find your compassion (although I have a sneaky suspicion it isn't that ) commendable, dear. Why do you possibly care about the opinion of someone who states a random generalization like the OP? I mean, I "assume" it is in reality, a knee jerk reaction to her man cheating on her, leaving her, staring at other girl's assess, etc... than an actual firm belief of hers', but still.... I want to impart a wonderful piece of wisdom that will free you, forever. Simply put, most people are not worthy. Most are either weak, stupid, ineffectual, compromised, inept, or shallow. That is a simple reality. Once you buy into this, you are free from trying to rack your brain trying to understand them or to provide them clarity. You can just invoke a smarmy aside ala Grand Mamon or ignore them. Now, having said this...I admire the hell out of the fact you DO appear to carry in your heart, compassion for others. You instill in me a sense of decency so perhaps I should try it your way. Who knows?

everyone is worthy and while I appreciate the sentiment, I do not feel imprisoned  .
I don't think it is compassion either. I simply choose to see the good whilst knowing in all of us, it is a mixed bag. It makes the good that much sweeter.
Why do I comment...becuse somebody might need to hear it and it costs me nothing to make the effort.

I haven't seen this change they are talking about at 40 in women.
But...at 40 I was still married, so its not like I was out in the field, but I didn't see it when observing others.
as far as aging, both genders do that.
but, 40 is the age close to menopause, but it doesn't hit most women until the mid 40's plus and it doesn't effect all women the same.
however around 50, if she has been thru a marriage or two and several relations....I will say the issues syndrome seems to hit enough of them, and it is a problem, because you need reserve, compassion and acceptance for a relation to work, and with issue's a person doesn't have those things.
Either way...I think the problem is for those in their 30's and 40's ....is that so many of either gender is married at that age....and there isn't a lot of choices out there.
In the 20's there are still enough singles...by the 50's many are single from divorces.

The problem is people keep blaming the wrong thing. And refuse to address the real issue underneath.
Fix the society and their view and practices, and you will fix the other issues as well.
