But I was also struck by the fact that she says she's fit, but her interests are reading and movies. Not that fit people don't watch movies or read but that you'd think she'd have some activity interests, too.


She may be picky and not be able to express her preferences succinctly but there is nothing wrong with what she wants. Not really. Besides, I think she was trying to be amusing. I can see wanting someone whose lifestyle and things are similar.

I also didn't see her being picky..at her age she knows what she can and can't deal with...

lol. You're right, she says she enjoys them. I just would think she's also say she enjoys rock climbing or marathons or working out or hiking or whatever she does in her day that gives her exercise. She must do something to keep fit.

What would constitute "not picky"?

I mean, not wanting to be someone's cougar. Wanting someone who can keep up athletically with her. Wanting someone who does not smoke pot. Wanting someone who is mature. Wanting someone who is tall, isn't already married, doesn't live with mom and dad, and can carry on a conversation...all those things are being too picky?

They may not all be on my list, they may be, but is the alternative that she date anyone who comes her way?

Her list seems pretty reasonable to me.

Why can't people look more at substance? I can understand people wanting attraction to be there to a point, but I mean, if you find someone who you are reasonably attracted to, they are decent people, and you two get along, those should really be the major issues.

I can somewhat understand the financial issue, but only to a point (can they pull their weight financially).
