That's a good take......one might argue that the "sociopathical personality" applies to most people meeting and dating (seeing as how it's always "best foot forward), but I don't want to go off on a tangent.
So a sociopath (or someone with those tendencies) lacks a conscience.....exhibits amoral behavior to fulfill his/her agenda......right?
So it's not a leap to pin lying to this behavior....so players are always liars that just haven't necessarily done it yet?
You almost have to go off on a tangent and include that most people have sociopathic tendencies to a degree on any given minute of every given day.
Back on the beaten path that has the dead horse... Lying is a tool for the player and if they are sociopathic it's very easy for them to deceive. I'm sure they get some sort of glee when they are able to dupe a challenging mark. I have no clue who they brag to, must be some sort of players club they subscribe to.
Not sure what you meant by, "just haven't done it yet?" You mean they have been truthful and haven't lied yet but it's ineveitable? I believe those players whom aren't desperate and have many "sides" can afford to use the truth as a tool to further their ends, especially if they have no time constraints. But if the truth isn't working for them I'm sure they'll resort to lying to achieve their agenda.

^5 GeoGeo. A player will use all their "weaponry" at their disposal to achieve their goal. If your heart is in their way, they will destroy that as an after thought. Why do they do it? I dunno, I just divorced one and don't want to meet another one like him ever again in my life.

I have not met a player that was not a liar in some way. They are usually Sociopath's
There not always easy to spot but they are usually very good at manipulating, conning and have no problem lying over and over with no remorse or empathy for anyone.
I have met one and it was hard to spot at first...The signs I picked up on were.
Very charming (conning) unable to feel remorse for hurting others, self serving, domineering, had no problem lying and very good at it. Hot & cold relationship.
very secretive and hate when someone tries to understand them. egotistical and narcissism.
I feel the longer they play the game they get caught up in it and start believing all there own lies.

So it seems like we're back to, "There is no such thing as an honest player"....bearing in mind that lying is inevitable if they haven't done so yet.
