I was in the Williamsburg area last weekend for the Scottish Festival (had a fantastic time!!!) and this week I'm gonna be at my favorite beach - OBX. Then, my next trip will be Richmond to attend the Richmond Highland Games and Celtic Festival the last weekend of the month (Oct. 25 & 26 at the Richmond Raceway Complex). I go to these (festivals) mostly for the music, but enjoy checking out the vendors (food and items to buy) as well as seeing the Men in Kilts (MIKs) throwing heavy stuff and just walking past... And, for any of Scottish descent, there're always the Clan tents where you can learn about your heritage and ancestry. So - anyone who thinks you'd enjoy this sort of event - or, would like to do something different - you're welcome to join me there. I'll be attending with my 80+ year old cousin (I stay at her house each year), who doesn't act or look it, and another woman's said she'd like to go with us, too - and another friend (male), from near Lynchburg, may also attend. So, as you can see, I already have a small group gathering - but, as the saying goes, the more the merrier. So, if any of you'd like to join us, we'd love to see you there! We all know that represents cold weather approaching. I WISH!!!! The leaves are pretty in my area, but not as radiant as usual. They are to peak this week. My 18 yr. old is on fall break, and I told her how disappointed I am with the trees. She says, mom, it's only Monday!!!!! Out of the mouths of babes. Have a great week, and to all.

I actually went away to Midlothian to friends home for the weekend. we had 11 people gathered and what a bash it sure was. I was going to come home yesterday but after having more tequila while watching football, decided to stay the night again, and being I'd taken today off, drive home in one piece, as apposed to any other way...lol

I think we had a total of 7 people show up including ohjoe, from the Richmond area. there were pics posted and we had a great time. lots of walking, so this time I'd like to see everyone stay p[ut so conversations can develope nicer.
