Sorry, lnlass, I mean you no disrespect but your statement hurts my brain too. I'm looking for some logic within but not finding it.

As far as the words live for today and dance while no one is watching kinda have a special meaning for me..just in a way of thinking I guess...yes I have danced in the rain..and there are those times..where I really dont' care who is watching.....
My job can get a little stressful so there are those times where I take myself and the kids out in the rain..boots and rain coats..and just dance away
As far as dating..with the words LIFE IS TO SHORT..for me it doesnt. mean jump the next guy who comes along..for me its enjoy the little moments of love and or happiness you have now..even if its on your own or someone your with..in another words just slow down..and enjoy..

Sorry--I don't get it either?
Edit add:
And, when I see Carpe Diem in a guys profile my thought is
he just wants to hit it and that's about it--so I hit the next button.

See?........I have trouble reconciling "life is short" and "slow down and enjoy".

Whether “Seize the Day” or “Harvest the Day”, I guess I never equated “Carpe Diem” as “Live for Today”. I live my life with an eye (my mind) toward tomorrow. I do try to make the most of each day and some days it means packing everything I can into the day but sometimes that’s as simple as starting a fire and vegging in front of a bunch of movies.

As it relates to romance, I don’t see it any differently: I plan for long-term and get the most I can out of each day.

Living for today seems pretty much as ArkansasnMan pointed out in the Original Post.

That's funny because when I see that in a woman's profile I think she just wants to find someone to have babies with and I hit the next button.

..when I say life is to short for me..it means..stop thinking about all the crap and everything else that has gone on in a persons life..if its all you think about it will consume your thinking..to where you can't see anything else beyond the edge of your nose....and before you know it..life has passed you by..because you never took the time to stop, think listen smile and notice the small things...even let someone love you..
Hell I think I just confused myself in trying to explain myself

Don't waste your moments on mindless sex. If you're going to have it, make it mindful and enjoy every minute. If you meet someone you like, enjoy them at what ever level is comfortable. If sex feels right, do it. If it doesn't don't. If you meet someone you think you could spend a lifetime with, enjoy every moment of life time that's left. No hurry, this moment is all we have. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn't here. Is that complicated? Maybe, but it seems clear to me. Yea, chick logic is weird.
