Wanting to 'see' who you are talking to is completely natural and normal. Wanting to talk to someone who you can't see is weird. If you are on a dating site and don't have any pictures you will have a harder time being successful, simple as that. You can think it's not fair or whatever, but it doesn't really matter, it's just the way it is and always will be.

Let's face it.....the initial attraction in every species is looks. It's human nature. The rest comes later.

I agree... if I were here wishing to find a match then I suppose I would feel differently. I am not.

What if you really enjoy talking to this person, you get along great, then the person sends you a picture, you don't approve of their looks, then what? Do you quit talking to them because they did not meet your approval as far as looks? Why should looks be centered on a friendship, if you get along really well otherwise?

I am here for the friends I made in the past and any new ones who care to join. If I were looking for romance here, I would perhaps feel differently. I do not choose my friends based upon their looks.

That is one of the points I am trying to get across. I don't base my friendships on looks either. It's the person that they are on the inside.

please read again what I wrote lynn... I didn't say that. I said I do NOT choose my friends based upon looks. Since I am here for friends only looks really don't matter.

The people who took your picture today and did stupid things with it were a big part of the reason I now choose to post no pic.

God gave us eyes to look at each other and it doesn't mean we look at each other to see how we look, we also look at each other eyes that show feeling sometimes a picture can show some of the person inner self just by a smile or gleam in there eyes. I like knowing who I am talking to and another thing people have different taste, what may be ugly to one may be beautiful to another. Go ahead and post a picture of yourself. Go for it!!!
